Im not a big fan of proprietory computers. BUT..I just sold my DELL computer and I actually liked it...I was acutally satisfied for it and I got a good deal on it....about 5 months ago or 6 I payed 899 plus tax for a DELL, SPecs : 5600x2 AMD 3 gigs of ram"samsung" I did replace it with my own but it was alright. it has some cheap video card but I put my own in it. 320 gig hdd sata. as well as dvd writer Sata. I never had ONE thing wrong with it and theoperson I sold it to is a friend and I know he wont have problems with it and he has 2 and a half eyars left on the warrenty, I paid 899 for it. It also came with a 19 inch LCD monitor with True brite. widescreen, keyboard mouse, windows vista premium (which sucks) and a pirnter. My aunt has a dell laptop from who knows what century. It works great. The reason dells go into service so much is because the MAIN consumer of dell products are NOOOBS. they send it in for ANNYTHING as little as some stupd error screen that is only due to software conflicts. and yes you can upgrade any thing in the new dells. the cases are even compatible with any mobo. MOST the time you do pay too much if you get a dell but sometimes they do have half decent deals if you want a intermediate pc. how ever NEVER PAY 5000 dollars for an XPS.
