Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Its terrifying how much me and noskill are alike. I do the very same thing. If it is something evil, disgustingly evil... i dont watch it. I dont speak about it, post it, refer it, think about it. If i dont, i will be ok. Instead, i go watch videos of cute kittens, play with my dogs or cat, laugh like a little girl, and get through the day. There are sick people in the world, more so then others. Compared to some people, 3 guys 1 hammer is child's play. The only difference now is, majority of the people arent just hearing it in court rooms or reading it in books... they are experiencing it first hand with their own eyes. I think it does more harm then good. It either causes people to be more paranoid, causes more anger, starts more problems... hell, might even trigger dorment masochists just waiting to shred an anus with cacti just to get a nut off. The world we live in is sick. But the sickest thing about it is, you cannot do anything about it. Live your life to the fullest, do what you feel is right. This is all one can do to make a difference. |

Well I think that not talking about it is disregarding the fact that exists when people SHOULD know about it. Ignoring videos like this and making a joke out of it gets old, I wanted to discuss it because I want to make sense out of this sometimes shitty world we live in. I understand your opinions, and I honestly did not watch more than 10 seconds at the most of videos like that or even 2 Girls 1 Cup. Hell, I bet I could have SAVED people from watching it by talking about a brief description of what it was and giving a wiki link. I don't want to watch things like this, but I want to know what it is and the story surrounding it and the opinions people have. There's a reason why my (and lots of other people's) favorite shows/movies are Comedy. Whenever I get depressed I watch a funny show or anything that would take my mind off this horrible shit that happens all the time and (like you said) will only get worse. But isn't that (even if a subtle type) denial? Rejecting it by not talking about it, not thinking about it, etc. It might be easier to reject horrible events, but isn't this what people mean when you hear about how the world in general should "learn from our past mistakes?" To make a difference yes you of course should live life to its fullest, but I want to DO something about problems, not just enjoy my entire life (if that makes sense). I'm willing to sacrifice some of my happiness to give others it, and live with the mistakes I make. That doesn't mean I'm going to be a depressed fuck who is always looking at the negative aspects of life, though. Even if it's something "small" like saving people's lives by being in the police force, or being a medical doctor, etc. One of my life goals is to save a life directly and know I did. It would be even a higher goal of mine to save more than just one person; that's how I believe I can make my own small mark on the world. Like you said, do whatever you feel is right. This thread wasn't made to depress people (well, maybe somewhat), but it was really for me to discuss this with people who are at the relatively same maturity level as me. This might sound cheesy, but I wanted responses that would make me even change my thinking of what I want to do with my life. I wanted people to become aware that this stuff happens (which you probably already know) and share their takes on life in general as an outcome. I liked all the responses so far and I got what I wanted; new perspectives on the same issue. Edited Sat Dec 19 2009, 06:11AM |

I was TOLD wtf the pain olympics were about, but I HAD TO KNOW FOR MYSELF. I was told someone was going to get stabbed with a screwdriver 40 times in the torso, but I had to see it, because "it's not something you see everyday." I completely regret all of my curiosities, but they made me realize I had bad judgment, and bad judgment is good experience. |

Yeah I agree, but whenever I watched a video like that it was by accident, and I had no intention of watching it in the first place. I steer away from obscene videos as much as possible.Hell, I bet I could have SAVED people from watching it by talking about a brief description of what it was and giving a wiki link. Anyways, I guess it's just me, but I really WASN'T curious and was "satisfied" with the description. Whenever I watched any of these videos it was either A: an accident, or B: a prank. The first disgusting video I've seen was when I was like 10 and stupid and DL'd some movie that was actually a clip of a woman getting shot in the head while ducktaped blind (I really don't want to get into more of this, I have those images embedded in my mind). I only watched like the first 15 secs of most of those videos. It's not like I go looking for videos like this just because people say "dude this _____ vid is sick as fuck..." But I get what you're saying about curiosity, I guess it does happen but people should just stop at the description of it if they don't want to see something that horrible. It's like hearing about someone being murdered; you don't want to know the exact details and explicit pictures of the corpse of the victim just because the news-person said it was a horrible decapitation. By the way, They show those flicks in highschool of cows being decapitated in slaughterhouses and chick's beaks singed down to a nub so they can't peck at each other for two reasons: To throw into the deep end of life's dark side, and seeing these clips is an excellent judge of character. When I say worry about your own fucking life I never meant in terms of not pushing retards out of traffic like some Rusty tried making it out to be. It was in the sense of kids making fun of videos (like the thread title implied). If someone cracks some jokes about a video he saw of a man beheaded by a dull knife he isn't going to lead a country in the future. Just don't worry about them. If you were as dull as they, you would have been laughing along. |

just a couple short comments Noname|Boom wrote ... b4ndito wrote ... I read this and knew that I apparently wasn't clear enough, and/or that you were just seeking attention. If you were, I guess you got what you wanted. Yeah this is "boring," but I guess that the hint of being in the Philosophy category was too subtle.Noname|Boom wrote ... Please, if you are not going to respond maturely, don't post at all. \ I read this and knew this thread would be boring. owned lol but ok enough games very shortly noskill, i grew up with my religion in my life as a kid and to be honest, if you can over look the whole argument of "oh religion brainwashes you or is corrupted" and look at very basically what it teaches, then you will be a good person, i grew up with religion as a kid along with alot of friends i have today and they are very good people. um, amish.... im not really sure what exactly you are saying...expect that fact that people's lives don't really matter? This mentality leads you to do whatever the fuck you want to do which isn't a far jump to making fucked up vids about killing random people....so overall Amish i really dont agree with your comments that is all |

Saw that video too. fucked up idk.. for me it's more of a.. I don't really know how to explain it while making sense. You know how in the marines they have something called "recruit fear"? Where when they go into battle and see someone get killed they just freeze because they didn't mentally prepare for it? You've seen it in movies all the time, hell you even saw it in Men Who Stare At Goats. well that's kind of how I am; I'm the kind of person that likes to prepare for the worst, even if the worst is unimaginable. I prepare myself to better myself, and to harden myself. No I don't like seeing people get shot while blindfolded, but I will say I don't regret watching it, because I can't get that woman's life back, and I sure as hell couldn't do anything to stop it. All I can take from it is the experience and the fact that it turned my stomach in knots, so the next time I watch something horrible, hopefully it's not in a situation where I have to act on instinct in the matter of seconds. Remember how we always joke about Zombies and how prepared we are? Kind of like that. Could never probably happen, but in case it does, I want to be fucking ready. |
