I start my computer up today and try to play music only to find out that the sound is not working. It will not play songs on Limewire if the sound isn't working. I tried restarting but it won't come back and now SVHost is crashing. Anyone know what the problem is? | ||

Haha, yeah, check your plugs first, mute, volume etc.. But i doubt you would make that mistake. I don't remember what the limewire toolbar looks like, but have you tried playing music with windows media player or foobar or winamp? If it does not work in Media Player 10+ then click: Tools - Options - Devices then select the sound device you want to use, it may be off of what is normal... If this is the case, go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, then change the default output device. sorry if this isnt detailed enough, i have to get to school now |

Go into your device manager, disable then restart comp, or maybe u uninstall, i forget. Do that and it should work. | ||

There's no sound at all. I tried listening to movie trailors, ect. Nothing works. I downloaded a driver for my sound card and that didn't fix the problem. Yes, everything is plugged in, I'm not mentally retarded. A Drunk what do you mean disable and restart computer? Disable what? |

Ohh, disable your sound in ur sound, video, and game controller in device manager, their is only 1 u can disable. Then once u restart, it should work. | ||

Well, I have 3 that I can disable, but I know what all of my different devices control... But did you check your default device is? That could change a lot. Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices - Audio and you will see Sound playback and Default device: with a drop-down menu. |

Uber. I fixed it. Turns out there was spyware I've never heard of in the SVHost file. I got rid of it and sounds back on. | ||
