| Can't Put Wallpaper On...? | ||

Well, this has been a problem for awhile (I just usually ignore it), but now I need a solution. When I click properties on my desktop, then go to "desktop" to put on my wallpaper, all the choices to pick are greyed out and you can't click them (trust me, I've tried), you can't even scroll down or browse, or change the size. The only thing you CAN do is put a color for a backround (and everyone knows that sucks). I've used antiviruses, spyware, etc. and none of them have helped. I know I haven't done anything recently that caused it (like the vista pack I installed, the problem occured before that). The only thing I can recall is that it started right after one of my antiviruses found a virus and it deleted it. I'm not sure if this is the cause, but I'm giving everything I know to help someone solve it.
 Please help?

Never have had that happend to me, but what u might try is go into safe mode and run ur anti-virus again and run Spybot. | ||

have you tried to copy something from the internet and set it as the background. if not, you might try that. if you don't know how to do it(which im sure you do) go to anywhere on the web ( gamebagel has abunch of them ) and just right click "Set as Desktop Background" | ||

i haven't used vista, but i hear that you need to be admin to do a lot of things. do you need to authenticate first before you can make system changes? | ||

You try right clicking on the image you want as a background, then "Set as Background" in the drop down menu? | ||

If the wallpaper shows up when turning on/shutting down, then its likely a spyware problem. That has happened to me before. I would run a spyware check, as well as a virus scan too. it never hurts. | ||
