I just got a brand new mobo, and it won't recognize my ATI radeon 1600 XT gfx card, yet it will recognize a very old geforce 4400, any thoughts? im pretty good with computers yet still out of ideas =( | ||

The mother board may not be compadable with the grafix card the board is most likely not really that new and the newer grafix card doesn't support it older stuff will always work to a existent. | ||

its a foxconn 915 series mobo, relatively new i think... i'm at school atm but when i get home ill find the exact model | ||

what i don't understand is, the mobo i have right now is 3-4 years old, and has no problems recognizing the 1600 XT card =( | ||

turns out the card is most likely dead, using a geforce 4400 until i get a new 1600XT from Visiontek =( | ||
