Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Can you learn to sing or is it a "either you have it or you don't" thing? |

Are you trying to win American Idol???? The only real way to get better is to take lessons. Most people who sing for a living have been doing so since they were really little. Usually cultivated by parents or whoever. Some people are spotted for their natural talent, some develop it and go to schools for musicians... or some people try out for American Idol... |

gLiTchâ„¢ wrote ... It works both ways. You can be born with a naturally beautiful singing voice, and it will come natural. Other times you will need to improve on it by singing along with other songs you like. Some people will also never have a good singing voice no matter what. My advice to you is, find out how you like to sing. Where does your voice sound best (pitch wise)? Where does your voice sit (tone wise)? What music do you like? How fast can you sing? What physical levels can you obtain? By that i mean how long can you hold a note, and how long can you sing for without keeling over from exhaustion. My good friend, if you can answer those questions, then you will find your way. May the force be with you young padwan. Thanks Glitch, Thank you all You opinions and advice really helped. b4ndito, I'd love to see some of the writing you do ![]() I also found this: take the time to learn, anyone can sing. If people that can sing already take lessons to improve, why couldn't you take lessons to learn? I started out not knowing ANYTHING about singing, and now, after five years, I perform all the time. Just learn the basics, like the right breathing techniques, good posture, and how to project, then practice And no i am not trying out for American Idol. I just recently found some music/singers that are truly amazing at what they do and it has inspired me to try it! |

you can learn to sing. Now whether or not you have a good voice can determine how you sing. Some people have powerful voices and can learn to sing accordingly (chris cornell, haylee williams, ect). Others have deep voices and learned to sing accordingly (barry white). Others have a natural ability to get really high pitch and learned to develop that (whitney houston). I'm assuming you don't fall into any of those categories. Everyone has a natural ability in voice to make things such as pitch, tone, ect develop. Just like any other skill or ability. Those with a natural ability can more easily and more drastically affect that part of their voice. So others without extreme tendencies to one side that they can develop and bank on have to try to use their natural voice with proper techniques to find a mid-range tone that works for them. Not sure if this makes sense towards the middle because i got distracted and i'm too lazy to go back and proof read. | ||
