Is an American soldier's life worth more than that of the life of a foreigner and why? i wont argue with u guys on this, im asking the question because im not really sure of the answer my self. |

The U.S. makes such a big deal out of it with all the publicity, it's just what your hear about, but that dosen't mean the foreign soldiers who die don't get honored... | ||

I think the only time one persons life is more important than any others, is in a scenario like that of the titanic sinking or something. Women and children first. I don't want to answer weather i think an American soldiers life is better...it keeps coming out wrong after re-reading what i have typed..and i have tried like 4 times. Is an American soldier's life worth more than that of the life of a foreigner and why? Foreinger, i think i can say that, that statement is too broad and not descriptive enough to give an anwer to without pointing it towards every foreinger....are you trying to ask if a foreig exchange students life is worth less than that of an American Soldie? Do you mean ANY foreigner? Sorry If this is a question based from something some1 said which im kind of thinking it might be. Just my 2 cents from what i read from your post Sierra. thanks for ur input goat, by foreigner i mean anyone who isn't an American citizen. So this includes Canadians , and Chinese , and everybody not american | ||

of course. if you go to canada and kill a canadian we would be very chocked. but we wouldn't be as chocked if a american died. nobody's life is worth more, it is how we value them. easy question. |

no ones life is worth more, and you can go crazy thinking about this. There is no answer to this question. I had this same exact question (to an extent) back in Philosophy class in College. The question was... If you were mayor of a town and it was taken over by hostile forces, and they asked you to kill 5 little kids in exchange for 1000 Town Citizens lives (men, women, and children.), would you do it? Who's life is worth more....? if i was him, i would try to grab his gun and kill as many bad guys as i can before they unload all their bullets at me. I will never kill an innocent person no matter how many lives it may save. I just dont think i have it in me... Some people will argue, if it wasnt in America, that scenerio... would you still think the same way, and kill lets say 5 Arab kids? Hmm... seems maby a little bit easier to do.... So my point is, there is no answer to this question, only valid arguments. No ones life is worth more then another based on gender, sex, ethnicity, or any of the like. If it was based on who was good or bad, as in the bad should die and good should live, then thats a different question... I think you mean to say "Valued more" rather than "worth more". To the United States, the American Soldier's life is valued more than a foreigner to those living within the United States. Respectively, the foreigner's life is valued more in their native land. It's all a matter of opinion from where the person stands. It's all personal bias and that's what it comes down to in the end. |
