1. I'm sorry pope, but ur friends have no idea what the word foreign means. Before reading these final two posts (Vega and Sierra) I first have to say that I have to agree what Sierra is saying, and second I have to say that I think I dropped 10 intelligence quotient points from reading Pope's posts posts (double posts...) Time to read Vega's... Ok, I've read both and .. HAHAHAHAHAHA. (That means GJ guys, Pope is dumb...) Even though I don't like Sierra, I have to side with him here. Life really has no meaning other then the meaning that we ourself and others put into it. In other words if you don't care about one person but you care about another their life is worth more to you. Since most people here are US I am going to guess you are also or at least watching US news. Of course to people in the US the life of a US soldier means more but if you go to somewhere else their soldiers lives will mean more to them. In other words like many things in life this question is a matter of perspective and how you view the worth of other peoples lives. In the end only you can decide who you feel has more value but in the end it means nothing because we all are the same. When we die someone will care and others wont the world keeps turning and all things come to a end. The value of life is something that mankind created to make themselves feel special and to help the living cope with death. Everything about death is not for the dead it is for the living. Like funerals are for the living to make them feel better about their loss. Graves are markers to help people remember what was once there. In the end if you choose to value a life it will make you feel better and others will feel better about you but the dead don't give a shit because they are dead. So value whoevers life you choose. |

I've got to say "thanks Pocky for stopping this shit stream and staying on topic" I believe people lives are more important than others, for example though no fault of their own people born in third world countries don't really have that big of a chance to change the world while others (politician, kings queens, leaders in different countries) do. Either changing the world in a good way or bad is more important than some guy playing CS:S and typing this message out. I understand that if I had a choice of my mother dying or my queen I would choose the queen to get slaughtered but I also realise that the queen is more important but to be honest I don't care. Now I'm understanding the question as "American soldiers > every foreigner" if that is so then my opinion is no they are not, I can see no difference between British,American,Irish or Iraqi soldiers they are all fighting because someone more important than themselves told them too.
