Not at all. You are acting like I am an adolescent or some sort of maturing prepubescent. That is not the case. I'm 18, almost done with high school, and know more about the real world than most. These are just observations that I have made based on my basic knowledge of Psychology from school. The women like the jock assholes, and the nice guys aren't liked. I am a nice guy, but not a boring guy. You would understand if you were me, but you are right don't worry about love now. Dating before college or before you got your life straight is just like practicing for divorce really. |

hmm, being a psych major payed off in FTC forums... who'd have known! Theres a theory in social psychology that says that people who have a bad experience will convince themselves that they like whatever caused them to have that experience more, because it's harder for a person to get out of that situation than it is to deny it. BASICALLY these guys we all see being assholes to their girlfriends are doing this. The girlfriend has more of a commitment to the guy than any individual event will break. Basically she convinces herself that she likes the guy more than she actually does instead of breaking a relationship she's invested all this time in because it'll hurt more (and girls like this are usually afraid of being single) |
