Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

I've been reading into it a lot lately, and I think I'm going to give Ubuntu a try. Any thoughts, recommendations, cautions I should know about before I install?

Ubuntu is the least user friendly thing ever, as are most linux versions. At work, I use a mac with the terminal, and ssh to various linux boxes. I know you don't have a mac though, so that's out of the question... I'd say rhel (redhat) or fedore core are your best bets. |

I shoulda stated the reason I'm leaning towards linux. I'm looking to get closer to the operating system so to speak, since I'm in school for IT. So non user friendly isn't necessarily a bad thing for me here. Besides, I was thinking of doing a dual boot setup, so I wouldn't be quitting windows cold turkey (lol?)

Dual booting is always good, but still the thing about ubuntu is that it is "close to the OS", but it really doesn't help you with it at all. For example, I installed something on ubuntu today as root via sudo, and it worked fine. then I went to where i installed it (a root only folder), and tried to run it. Instead of telling me "Permissions not sufficient" or something like that, it just said that it failed, causing me to think the program was fucked, when in reality all I had to do was run it as root. Honestly though, they're all pretty good. Go with ubuntu if you want, but my favorite is definitely FC5/RHEL. You can always experiment with them all. dualbootingissohot. you can fix windows crap in unix in 5 minuets, as opposed to reinstalling your whole windows again. HOT Edited Tue Jul 22 2008, 02:33PM |
