So... if anyone hasn't noticed lately, I haven't been around much. I'm really busy, and I cant even respond to simple Chatbox messages anymore(when I asked everyone if they played Diablo 2) So the other problem with being busy is, my computer SUCKS. Whenever I have time to play any game, I cant because I get booted, or just simply cant play at all. I get kicked from FT every 3 minutes, and it takes up to 10 mins just to join once. It's quite frustrating, and I've finally given up on this Dell piece of shit. So... by the end of summer I want my own custom rig. My friend(sayurprayers's) dad will help me build it, but I need parts. #1 I was wondering if you guys have any spare parts that you dont need and can donate.* Like an old gaming case, or power supply you never use, or just anything. Anything I dont have to spend money on and you dont need would be awesome. #2 my main concern right now is MB, Ram, Video Card, and processor. I was wondering what ideas you guys had for something under $500. Asus Board with a Nvideo geforce? idk, give me ideas, send me links, or deals on Newegg, I'm gonna start looking alot but I really need your guy's help. Thanks for anything * = If not donated, possibly cheap? I would pay for shipping If I requested whatever you have. EDIT FIX: Major major thing, please do not buy any parts for me and send them to me. I will look into this when I get home from work, but here's a few things to start you off. Are you going for PCI-E? You're going to have to have a lot more than 500 bucks to buy all the components for a decent PCI-E. Cheap, good start for a new PC, and decent overclockability: -[link]- Decent mobo: -[link]- RAM: -[link]- Good cheap start to DX10: -[link]- With those you are under 500 for sure. Around 350. And that excludes the mail-in-rebates with some of them. You can even upgrade your CPU to a better one or your graphics (I suggest CPU). 2 GB of RAM should be enough for you.
