| *important* Youtube..how to upload a vid? | ||

I'm attempting to upload an .avi file but it just stays on the uploading screen for 15 minutes continuously loading, sup with that? Do I need to convert it to another file type? If so, how? I went to browse and this is the thing im trying to upload. the file location: C:\Documents and Settings\Wu\My Documents\My Pictures\Picturez\Picturez 125.avi oh and I put *important* because it's more important than all of the other threads combined, duh Edited Tue Mar 11 2008, 11:54PM |

Try cutting it in half, some times they wont allow it over 10 mins or something. | ||

the long loading could be due to your slow internet(assuming you have slow internet) but that loading is actually you uploading the file. Mine did the same thing with my mohaa montage | ||

Well, if you have windows movie maker just try to switch it like that, Sorry I don't like youtube for submitting videos they always back stab me. | ||

Just simply try to start the upload in youtube Than if it says the file is too big or some problem then just press the link that says something like 'trouble with your uploading' that pops up when you do have a problem. then just wait an hour becuase of the big size of your file. |

Avi's can be huge files. try compressing it in windows movie maker (WMM) like someone else said (it's as easy as just saving the file in WMM) | ||

AVIs are the smallest size:quality ratio around. Try uploading an MP4 with the same quality.. | ||

pshh.... doesnt anyone use WMV anymore? Dude, youtube is gaaaaaaaay for uploading. Quality sucks. The "loading bar staying in the same position for 15 minutes" is actually you uploading the video. Thats whats supposed to happen. I suggest you upload to google video. I use that all the time. Only once i uploaded to youtube, and it will stay at once. Google video, you can upload any size, any length, anytime, and anyway you want to. Quality is great. And its easier. Since you use this google program to do it.
