I really need a new computer, I am playing right now on a laptop which sucks balls. specs... -[link]- (hard to read sorry.) If you can't read it I have 382 mb of RAM, so I can't have anything except xfire up when i'm playing. I only have 500 to 600 dollars to spend excluding the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I don't no anything about ordering parts for computers, so can someone help me. I would like to have atleast a gig of RAM a decent video card, and a decent dual core processor. I want the best i can possibly get for my money. My moms boyfriend can build it. I average 10-30 fps in game, it's so fucking hard to play. Oh and my sound is fucked up to, when i close my laptop, and open it up my sound doesn't work, I have to turn it off for a couple minutes... Edited Fri Jun 08 2007, 01:11AM |

No clue? Lol, and when I want to play i have to turn my video settings up to the highest performance and it still runs like shit. And I have to change them EVERY time i wanna play.. |

oh you can, I used to play with way worse : P4 1.5 ghz, 256 ram and a geforce 2 card. it sucked and so did I. we'll cook something up, but 600 isnt alot to work with. glitch is pretty good with these but i havent seen him in a while. Edited Fri Jun 08 2007, 02:18AM |

i play with worse now.. sempron 1.1ghz , 768 ram a geforce 4 MX..i suck..i'd probably suck with a better computer too though... |

Okay Sla. I put some shit together real quick. This link should work: -[link]- A few notes: 1. It's over $600 2. There's no case there 3. There's no aftermarket cooler, so Overclocking will be more difficult. 4. I don't know if the RAM is overclock happy, I'll have to check. 5. Only 80GB of hard drive space. 6. No CD drives. I figure you can steal them from your other computer or something. 7. No sound card, which is, IMO, necessary. Onboard sound is teh gay. I'll make revisions/add stuff when I have epiphonies. You could always try the entry level compy's from IbuyPower or Cyberpowerpc sla. Or at least take a look at the specs and pieces then buy them seperately from like Newegg or tigerdirect. Usually those places offer decent cheap computers and they charge like i think only ~$80 more than if you'd pay from Newegg. Only exception is the RAM....my god they overpriced RAM on those sites by alot Just a suggestion ^_^ |

If you really want to get a rig, then get me on xfire or send me a private message on the forums. I just decided to sell my rig a few days ago which is only a year old. It's a kick ass rig that Jigg and I built together but I'll give it to you well under your budget. If you are interested, then hit me up.  EDIT - It has a dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, nice power supply, etc so it's going to be exactly what you are looking for. Just to let you know basically what's in it. funny thing is i bought my computer with everythin i hav in it for a little bit under 2000 a couple monthes ago and im thinkin about makin a couple upgrades due to annoying problems i have. My point, u should really try and raise up sum more cash first b4 lookin into buying |

At my dad's house, I have a almost new computer, with a 2.66 GHZ processor, 800 mb of RAM, ATI 200 series, and i still only get areound 20-30 fps. I usally run teamspeak, and xfire when playing but that's it. But my connection is truly terrible, if that has anyhting to do with it. Anyone know a way i can get better fps? | ||
