Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

alright. i want to know what all you tech savvy people think is the best brand name in each of the following catagorys. the rules: *no specific models refferenced, only the brand *only post your top two choices (high and low price if you want) *if you dont know or feel indifferent in a catagory then leave it blank *if you are not tech savvy dont pick and fuck up this info *be truthful and if you are serious feel free to explain a little bit after each catagory about your experences with the product or why u chose it *dont flame other companies or say the worst in each catagory; this is a positive therad and the negative one will come later *these are your opinions please dont put something down that some1 else did, i want a diverse pool of opinions and only what [you] individuals think-not as a group. *all the parts are for DESKTOPS only the catagorys: CD / DVD Burners & Media Computer Cases Cooling Fans & Heatsinks Hard Drives Memory Monitors Motherboards Power Supplies Processors - AMD Processors - Intel Sound Cards Headphones Video Cards i will post my opinions later |

"Speakers" isn't there, but I'm adding some anyway.
-[link]-
Klipsch 5.1 surround Pro-Medias. A great showcase of Klipsch pwnage.
You really can't go wrong with Klipsch sound. The only minor part about them, is that they spent so much time on the sound, and not a lot on looks, so the speakers aren't very attractive. Also, the jack to plug them into your computer isn't very strong, if you put it n and out a lot.
The 2.1 version

"Headphones" I love my Senheiser Pro 280's -[link]- You look like mickey mouse while you wear them, but they are well worth it. they reduce ambient noise by 30 Db, so that landscaping crew outside won't interfere with your gameplay. Another awesome thing about these cans is when the bass hits in you music, you feel it. It's like having a pair of subwoofers right next to your head. They also have amazing stereo... I can tell exactly where someone is in game by listening to their footsteps. They are also extremely comfortable, so don't worry about going on a gaming marathon, cause you won't even fatigue from wearing them. I use these headphones to listen to music more than my speakers, and I would say the sound quality rivals that of the $1000 system I have installed in my car (granted you can't blow out you neighbor's windows with a pair of headphones, but pair these babies up with an amp and you'll swear you can). For a price of ~ 100$, the professional sound quality you get can't be beat. ***** in my book, and I know my stuff when it comes to audio equipment. Edited Sat Apr 28 2007, 05:12AM |

mOST THAT crap doesnt matter what brand. Hard drive: WESTERN DIGITAL (i own about 10-15 and wont use anything else) Mobo: Asus, gigabyte, MSI Video Card: If you get ATI, shoot yourself. Sound Card: Audigy Processors change per month. I have athlon xp, athlon 64, pentium M, pentium D, and core2duo Other than that, MEMORY YOU NEED TO READ THE FEEDBACK FROM NEWEGG-- there is not one good brand, there are good models. I promise, this is all true. So true. |

CD / DVD Burners & Media - No real preference, mine's NEC Computer Cases - Lian-Li (Plain and sexy) Cooling Fans & Heatsinks - Thermaltake, Seasonic (Thermaltake heatsink, Seasonic for the HSF) Hard Drives - Samsung (Spinpoint P, hasn't failed me yet) Memory - G.SKILL (Works incredibly with DFI mobos, overclock like hell) Monitors - Samsung Motherboards - DFI (Best for overclocking in the AMD category, no doubt) Power Supplies - OCZ (They're rebranded Tagans, which are basically the best) Processors - AMD - Opteron Dual Core (Amazing.) Processors - Intel - No preference Sound Cards - Creative (Only for gaming, though. There are other sound cards that are better for audio) Headphones - Beyerdynamic (Not too well known in the gaming community, but specifically the DT-770 is consider among audiophiles to be the best for gaming. I have them, they're amazing. Pricey though.) Video Cards - NVIDIA (No reason, just a personal preference.) |

kremit is right about the memory, pick your mobo first and find the best memory match for it. read around forums and newegg comments. amped is right too, G.SKILL mem + DFI mobo is HOT. i loves mine. |
