if i were to get a 7.1 channel card would it hurt my sound if i only got 5 speakers? and remember this isnt just for gaming. im looking for a more all around one because this is mainly for movies and music. and i dont want to spend a fortune on just this. im already going to buy a g15, which will put me 70 bux in the hole. also i just checked and my card is 7.1 channels. why do i need to upgrade? Dude, i went to walmart and bought a pair of "Altec Lansing" 2.1's and they own. they were like 22 dolars hahahahaha. |

get the speakers first, if everything sounds fine to you then don't bother upgrading the card. i was going off yer original post with 600 bucks to spend. gimme the money and i'll spend it! | ||

yeah i got 600 bux to spend but that dont mean i wanna spend it all! lol im buying the speakers some time between now and july. i designed a desk that ima build (i take carpentry and im not too bad) and itll wrap around 270 degrees, so the surround sound will be awesome on that desk. |

Klipsch speakers pwn, they have a NICE 5.1 system alot of power. Personally I think it out sounds the Bose computer speaker shit....or look for some "gamer" speakers, they will boost the amazingness of any game, music, or movie....designed to provide realistic experience! <3 nate | ||

I own a pair of logitech Z4's. They come with an amp and a nice woofer. Best part is I got them on sale for 80$. They're nice speakers, but the one's kd posted look awsome too. | ||
