I don't understand how some people get over 100+ fps though and I don't consider how powerful my system is. I was thinking that it was either my motherboard, processor, or maybe even the fan. I doubt it's my card considering the frames are the same as what they were before with my 128 mb piece of shit 5200 FX. And it's not RAM because I have over 1.5 GB of ram in my pc. I've been trying to figure out this problem for a long ass time now. | ||

Perhaps you have too much shit running in the background. There is a free program called endall, you can run that and it ends all unnecessary operations. Also check for spyware/adware. BTW my computer right now is an AMD 64 2800 with an nVidia 6600, and 1 gig of kingston ram, and my FR hovers beyween 55 and 75 ish. |

Ok. The Stereo system is a 500-1000 watt rms alpine. and the subs are rockford fosgate p2 8in (4 of them) | ||

Can you link me to that program Grif? Sorry Nate I don't know much about stereo systems or I'd help you out dude  I'm having mine installed by someone else that's hooking me up cheap with a set of 400 watt speakers. And he's putting in the amp for me also for free, for around 200 bucks. Not that bad considering all of the equipment is brand spankin new. I'm looking at a 1991 Acura Integra to put it in, so I can save some money on insurance so I can mod the hell out of it. Plus it's a sedan, and the driver's license program I'm going through (My school) makes it so I get discounts on my insurance, so I'll be saving tons of money. If you guys know what the cheapest and best shit for my car you can let me know.

Lol i got over 2k worth of stereo system stuff for like 1300 dollars.....i am good with systems so if u need ne more stereo system stuff....start a new thread, with what you want and how much u want to spend....i spent 3 months shopping for my system so i know alot of places to look at | ||

I tried it, and it makes no difference with my piece of shit computer. I'm done with CSS for a while unless I somehow win enough money to upgrade it. | ||

Night.. CSS runs soley on Vid Card graphics.. Your RAM and Processor wont do as much as other games do. You need a faster Vid card with a faster Core clock and memory clock.. I get an average of 80-95 fps with my gay geforce 6800. I overclocked it to get it to 100. But it will slow up a bit once in a while. Its core clock is running at 390 while memory is running at 780. If you want more FPS in Source, its not the MB or RAM or CPU u need ot look at. Its the Vid card. Solution. Buy new vid card and you will get awsome FPS. If you up from your 5 series to the 7 series AGP then you will double your fps. As for the stereo system, very nice lol. I got Infiniti 5x7's in my front two doors, two 6x9's in my back dash, and i drop down my back seats and reveal two 12 inch MTX Subs with 1000watt amp. All at the flick of a Kill-switch lol. Its not a box though. I built a wall behind those back seats and mounted the two subs into them and stapled black carpeting around them.. looks sweet. And is LOUD. My card is better then your card and I get lower fps then you. Not only that, it's already overclocked. Just something that I'm fucked to live with. | ||
