Anyone with some tips or suggestions on how to improve my damn framerate would be nice. I recently bought a new card, but there really isnt any improvent at all. I have 768 MB of Ram, I did a defrag, and a disk cleanup, but it didnt help at all. I dont know what to do, because it really affects my gameplay. If anyone knows what to do, that would be nice and useful. | ||

i heard a few people telling me the other day that lowering your rates gives you better fps... it didn't make much sense to me, but I'm going to go fuck with my rates and see what happens. I'll get back to ya. | ||

what kind of card do you have? I run an FX5200 and 512 MB RAM and I don't get the highest frames, but between lowering my settings and my autoexec I can run at least pretty smooth, with a scattering of lag here and there, but nothing serious. It makes for at least decent gameplay if it is lacking for graphics a bit | ||

You could try running a lower resolution, it would be a pain to get used to though. | ||

bassically what they are talking about lowering your rates is if you have a computer thats shitty and all your settings are set for high res. and reflection and stuff like that...then lowering them would improve your FPS...also try and cut down on other programs running while your playing...a good way to do this(with the less obvious ones) is 1-go to task manager and type the name of a progam into google with the exc. or whatever it is 2-should give you some sites that tell you whether its nessicary to the computer to be running 3-delete the process tree if possible |

yo dude check to c if u have verticle sync on in the advanced video options if u do turn it off it puts u at low fps and keeps it low like a safety for ur equipment, also check u processor, even tho u have a new card and 800 mb ram if ur proc is crap u wont be able to use the full potential of ur epuipment if that doesnt help or doesnt work idk wat to do |
