| something wrong with my graphics card? | ||

alright...i just bought battlefield 2 and the expansion for 70 buckoroonos. i downloaded everything and installed the 1.4 patch for it. when i try to get on, there "was" an error that doesnt show up anymore when i try but it said something about "the color". i wasn't paying attention to it really because i was getting fustrated with the slow ass download speed. when i click on the desktop shortcut to battlefield 2, the little black screen comes up like its loading, then it just shuts off. my system right now is an XPS 600, i have an Nvidia Geforce 6800. i just tried downloading what i thought was the new driver for it but i unno. i think its time for me to buy a new graphics card but that won't help me out right now because i want to play BF2  .anyone have any suggestions? oh and i'm not very computer literate so simple terms please  .thanks everyone

did you install the FUL 1.4 patch, or the incrimental. cause if you didnt' do the full patch you gotta unistall everything and start over. | ||

what do you mean by "uninstall everything". you mean TOTALLY uninstall BF2? wait, it worked when i downloaded the original BF2 and i had gotten special forces to work but i was playing out of date...i went to download 1.4 and i was just starting the installation UNDER my game when it did it Edited Tue Oct 03 2006, 02:51AM |

you shouldnt have to uninstall, just download the biggest version of the 1.4 patch from gamershell.com (best mirror ive found) the incremental just upgrades you from the last patch |

I bought BF2 a year ago and had to buy a Radeon 9550 to play it at a winning framerate of 5. I gave it away. |

Gforce 7600. Works fine. The expansion was a waste of money, too BTW. YOu won't find yourself playing it. |
