Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Ok, im looking into buying an external hard drive to save my recorded shows to since i have media center. I want one around 300 gig, but i want it fairly cheap, no more then $250. I figured id ask you guys since most of you are good with hardware and shit, and i know nothing about it. Id want the shows to go directly to the HD. Im also thinking of getting a cheap 10 gig for songs and shit. Anyone know what the price would be? Heres some i found: -[link]- -[link]- -[link]- -[link]- This is very reasonable-300 gig for 100 dollars. Buy 2. -[link]- Edited Sun Oct 01 2006, 10:04PM |

I actually bought a 40 gig ext hard drive recently. I was surprised cause it was the smallest one I could find (I only needed 20 gigs, but I don't think they make those anymore). I actually went to compusa and bought it there for $50 and I could have got a store brand 80 gig for the same price (but like I said I didn't need the space and it was a tad bulky). So as long as you don't care about looks, I would suggest buying a ext hard drive at a major computor store like compusa or staples. However before you buy any external hard drive, there is something to consider. The hard drive itself can only store/ use information as fast as the usb 2.0 connection. So it's great for data backup, but if your going to be doing demanding things like editing, running, and storing video files off of it, you might get some slow down due to the fact that the hard drive is not directly wired into your computer. Just something for you to consider. Edited Sun Oct 01 2006, 10:50PM |

That one looks good. However, I Highly Recomend Western Digital and Seagate, I have had both and they have worked seemlessly never fail. They may be more pricey than a few others but I believe its worth it. |

Seagate FTW. I have a seagate 5gig pocket drive, and I've dropped and banged it countless times, it's still PERFECT. Newegg for sure, though. | ||
