Im having (yet again) problems with my comp. I have been playing CS, and all of a sudden i would lose my connection. BUT, i dont fully lose my connection, as i can recieve Instant messages, but i cant send any out. I then go to restart my comp, and when its almost done, i get the blue screen of death. It says a serious error has occured, and that something is wrond with rdbss.sys or somthin like that. I then turn the comp back on, go to log on (which take about 10 minutes after getting the blue screen of death), and the error report says "a serious error has occured". I then go so send it (which i never do, but since it says serious i send it), and a IE comes up with a microsoft error site (-[link]- If anyone knows what the fucks going on, i need help. Badly. This is the 2nd time ive gotten it (first time was yesterday), and im worried. BY ALL MEANS I WILL NOT REFORMAT MY HARD DRIVE. Family comp. |

This sounds like corrupt operating system files. This can happen when the computer is not shut down properly. Running a comp repair biz, anyone that brough that problem to me-- reinstall windows. I have never found a way to fix that problem, because once you fix that file, another is broken. |

Yo Emerican look at this website it might help -[link]- hope u get ur comp fixed soon...if all else fails even though u don't want to you might have to reinstall windows it depends on what you've got also if that website doesn't help you download a program called hijackthis and then search for a log analyzer on google |

join the club my hd is fucked (both of them!) my mouse is spazing out, and im loosing my music colelction lol  emerican now for your problem. WE NEED MORE INFO! system specs, type of internet (cable dsl, dial up... what do you have) and also when does this happen? evening mroning ? and does it occur after you do something specific? |

Which could be due to that virus i had about a month ago when it would freeze everything up i would have to just turn off the comp via power button to get it to shut down. you don't look for anything in hijackthis what you need to do is download the program and take the log it gives you and post a copy of it on a forum for professionals to analyze they will tell you what to delete and what not to delete | ||

Why not just run a repair install of Windows? Put in the setup disc, and hit R. It doesn't delete any of your shit, just repairs your installation. | ||

Or, you could just use a restore point. Your computer periodicly takes restore points, which are sort of "snapshots" of waht your computer is like at the time. You could even restore it to the point before you had that virus. It will look just like it did then. That what I would do. I don't remember exactly how, but a quick search on google for "windows xp restore points" would do the trick. |
