| Automatic DNS Switching? | ||

I heard this can be done. I'm looking to have some sort of way of automatically switching between Comcast's East Coast DNS server, and Google's DNS server, based on which ever one is faster at any given time. I'm just wondering if we have any closet network gurus on the forum that might know how this can be accomplished. | ||

My roommate happens to be just such a guru I'll see if he can help you out. The government gave him like 25k this year to come intern with them next summer and work for them after that. He makes me hate myself, but I'll ask lol. | ||

Toast, if you were running linux/unix, it'd be very very easy to set up an auto switch script, but in windows it might be harder, but still possible. I don't personally know how to do it. |

well, the problem I'm having is... yes a script can be written in windows, but chances are my router is going to override any parameters I set in windows. At this point I do realize that this is something that is going to rely heavily on the manufacturer of my router, and not so much as writing scripts etc. | ||
