Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Can someone please explain to me the steps to reformatting? Do I need any cds or disks? Like windows Vista or the recovery disks? Edit: this is for a laptop Edited Wed Oct 27 2010, 01:20PM |

You can probably do a factory image restore, or just go in CMD and type format if that works. You'll need the disk for windows to reinstall and probably the disk from your laptop with all the services that came with it. Edited Wed Oct 27 2010, 07:04PM |

if you have the disk that came with your laptop/desktop with your os and bloatware, then I would suggest DBAN for a full cleaning. | ||

then you have to delete c/windows/system32 that will force your computer into restore mode and let you through command prompts to reformat. |

Who makes your computer? How old is it? If its less than 3 years old, chances are it didn't come with restore cds, but a partition on the hard drive. To access this, the most common way is to tap F8 continuously after the BIOS screen on bootup. From there you can "Repair" windows. Hopefully you can do a full system recovery from that menu, but depending on your manufacturer, you may or may not have that option (e.g. a different hotkey than F8 when booting). As far as the actual restore goes, a complete guide of this can be found in the Tweaking Companion for Windows ( -[link]- ). |

i bought this laptop last year and didn't receive any restore cds, that's my biggest problem and worry. but i didn't want to simply restore my computer, I thought restoring would clean up my laptop a little bit. I wanted to reformat because it seems as though reformatting basically cleans out your entire software and then has you starting from scratch, almost like a new laptop. At least this is the idea that people have given me about reformatting. i wanted to do so because I have filled my laptop with so much bs i just want to start fresh |

Well, you're talking more about a reimage than reformat. A reformat doesn't start you at factory, or a set "image", it starts you at nothing. And if you really want to clean your whole computer, then you need to nuke it. But a reformat or nuking involves you installing an os on your own, and without a disk or os, I would suggest what toast suggested. |
