So, recently set up my 5.1 speakers on my desktop again but my mobo has shite onboard sound so i need a sound card. The problem is i'm not terribly familiar with sound cards and would like a little help if anyone has bought a decent sound card before for a decent price, please link me. Needs 5.1 capabilities, mic and win 7 64 bit compatible preferably somewhere in the neighborhood of $70 kloveyou |

only downside to that card is that it only has EAX 1 and 2 I think games like bad company 2 and mw2 run on EAX5, so gaming surround isn't supported for newer games or it emulates it badly. I'll throw this into the ring -[link]- It can playback at 192khz 24-bit when played in stereo which is how I listen to my music Sound clarity lies in the audio processor, which I haven't researched in a while but last time I checked cards with c-media oxygen chips had the best sound. idk if it's worth $99 to you. I paid $250 for my soundcard because I needed coaxial and digital in/out |
