Yes i'm back because , I got robbed and they took my computer t.v and ect. I need help building a computer ! So far I have a Antec Twelve Hundred case and a crosshair 1000 watt power supply. I need help building the rest, Looking to spend about $1500-$1700 that is already incudes the $450 i already spent so any help with ideas ? what parts i should get ? I'm not good with this type of stuff im looking at two graphics cards . So input people ! thanks |

You don't really need anything too powerful. Don't go SLI or Crossfire because not a lot of games support it. I would stick with the 9800GT or the new GTX series for Nvidia. Let's see, I'll just go down through the basics, hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, RAM, that kind of thing. Everyone wants the new DDR3 RAM, but I can tell you firsthand that it's not really faster than DDR2. The datapath is wider, that is all. Stick with DDR2800 or 1066. Okay, here's some shit from Newegg. And to be honest, you can build a computer that is cheaper than 1500 that will run very well. Hard Drive: -[link]- Processor: -[link]- Video Card: -[link]- Motherboard: -[link]- RAM (Unforunately, the only motherboards that support i7 do not have DDR2 RAM slots): -[link]- You wanted a gaming computer, so I built you one. I made sure that all of the parts are compatible with each other. The rest (CD drives, DVD drives, sound cards, network cards) are up to you. Although, for the network card I recommend this: -[link]- Get that or the K1 Networking card...They're the best around right now. Good luck. PS: Build me one, I'm still running a 2ghz p4 AGP mobo and a Dell CRT monitor.
