Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.

Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.

Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Very, very bad problem

 Okay, so last night I'm playing CSS when in the middle of it, the computer just decides to reboot itself. Since then, every time I log into it running normal Windows, it loads the applications, and then restarts over and over again. When I run it in safe mode, it does not do this at all, so I'm thinking it is a problem with Windows. I did a Spybot Scan and all I found was a tracking cookie. I did anti-virus, found two viruses, and got rid of those, and the problem still persists. I'm thinking that doing a system restore might help, but if that doesn't work, then I'm throwing this thing in the trash can. It's been long overdue, anyways.

If anyone else has had this problem before, please let me know what it is and give me some suggestions. Thanks.

 My comp overheats and restarts over and over, so I leave my case's window open and it stopped. Previously, this has happened to me and it crashed my HD.

So, maybe it was just overheating and you got lucky with just corrupt files.

 I checked the temp, runs at 116F which is a little high, but your computer shouldn't turn off unless it's over 150 or higher. And I mentioned that it runs in Safe Mode. I posted this thread over an hour ago and it's still on, so obviously it's not anything with my processor or overheating.

 What applications keep restarting over and over? It could be a software problem... Maybe one of the files in those programs is corrupt and causing this.

Or it could be RAM. Then again, i blame everything on RAM...lol.

 i had a similar problem with my xp media center and i just installed xp pro and all was well.

then the same thing happened again on xp pro so i installed windows 7 and all has been well since *knock on wood*

 Remove all USB devices except keyboard and mouse. Crash could be caused by shitty drivers when Windows loads them.

If that doesn't work, boot into safe mode, go to start>>run, and run "msconfig." Then go to the Startup tab and start disabling things to boot on startup. Basically what you're trying to do is see if any of these individual apps that run on startup are causing the crash. If you can find it, that's good.

If it's nothing, I'll think of more ideas.

 Well, at the same time I dread Windows, I absolutely love them for System Restore, because well, it fixed the problem. I was going through the logs and I noticed the night when it crashed, a few hours previous, updates were installed, so I'm guessing that was the problem. Either that, or I had some form of malware raping my system. Regardless, my problem's fixed, and I can game with 10-25 fps again in relative happiness.
