Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.

Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.

Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

 well my new 16mb raptor *sometimes* makes loud crunchy noises.. (thats the best way i can describe it) it used to be ultra quiet now it gets loud... what do you think it could be? performance seems the same and i got no corrupted files?? what do you guys think?

74gb 16 MB (THE FUCKING FASTEST CONSUMER SATA HARD DRIVE YES FASTER THAN THE 150GB RAPTOR!!)

specs

amd 64 x2 3800 running at 2.7
ddr 550 ram (slightly underclocked)
ati x850xt
asus a8n32 sli
zalman 9500 fan
1 maztor 5400 prm 40gb hd
1 wd raptor (the thing tahts giving me wierd noises)
1 cdrw drive (sony)
uneec psu.

any advice or help would be apreciated since i heard raptors are loud but i never really experienced it before these last 2-3 days ( had the raptor for about a couple of months now..)

ohh and the noise comes in when its doing some heavy files reading and it is dam loud and makes me jittery thinking that my hd is failing on me... (again i know its normal for drives to become louder during heavy access but before these last few days it didnt happen. )

i guess to sum it up im unsure of wheter my noise is normal or not. because previosly i didnt experince ANY noise except a slight whine at start up. now in windows i get crunchy noise Edited Sat Aug 12 2006, 09:19PM

 it might be that the drive read head is messed up, but Im not sure.Best bet would be to RMA it

what kind of temps are you gettin with that OC? I have a 9500 but it's broken and i have to RMA it.

 im getting about 49 c idle 55 load

i moved teh raptor from the drive bay to just sitting on top of the computer and that helped, i guess it was getting a bit hot...

 Wait.. Is it a zip drive? If it is, then maybe you forgot to eject it a couple of times before you took it out.

 i suggest the hard drive i got for you emerican, if you can afford it tongue its about 170-210 depending where you buy it from and waht shipping you use.

 well smart gave me a failure iminent.

i cry for my 200 hd. i shed a tear for you today. it still kicks most of your hd's asses though!!! i can load hl2 level in under 15 seconds... ohh yeah !

lol btw my raptor came as a ungrade from a 5400 rpm hd.
