Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

So, I am about to start ordering my computer parts for christmas, but I'm worried with money I might not be able to get all of my shit... so I start looking around for deals, and I noticed that tiger direct is substantially cheaper on most of the items glitch lined up for me my question is, isn't there something about tiger direct where if you don't get in the rebates or payments or some shit, they charge you more? I just always used to remember hearing people say that you can get shit really cheap on tiger direct if you live in the right area, but if you don't you're fucked. just wondering if I should go with tiger direct for price, or Newegg for dependebility EDIT: After doing some 5 mins of research after I threaded this, lol, I found out that everything has a rebate, you just have a deadline to get them in. But are they that hard? I mean, both my parents work in post offices, if I get my shit out the day I get the items, will it really be that difficult to get them in? they honestly just sound like the rebates on Newegg, same deadlines too, so it doesn't seem too harsh. plus, without the rebates, my shit is about the same price, and tiger direct shipping is cheaper, so it sounds like the better gamble. My dad uses tiger direct and his company does also. It's usually pretty cheap and they've never had any problems with them.

.4ngryToasters wrote ... what's their return policy like (I never shopped there)? no good if you get a dead component and cant send it back for a replacement. Same plans and everything as newegg. Standard 30 day return policy, and everything I have in my cart has an upgradable $20 - 1 year replacement plan. Will shit possibly go bad for me? Is all this good as my final computer. I'm ready to start clicking on shit tomorrow night, so let me know!! So I figured it out: Case and Power supply through newegg because Tiger Direct doesn't have those items in stock - And get the video card, motherboard plus a new processor(slightly cheaper Glitch, still good though), RAM(I got new RAM too glitchy this stuff was cheaper, plus with a flash drive, which I need ) and DVD/CD drive and harddrive(bigger, same price in the end) My bestfriend's dad is helping me put it together, and he has all the arctic silver I will need (also doing that for me, to ensure I don't fuck it up. |

Nothing wrong with tiger direct. I have bought a couple parts off them before. Im not sure if i remember them charging tax... cuz newegg doesnt. But if its cheaper then by all means go with them. I just trust newegg. Its a personal thing. They ship and process very fast. 90% of the time your shit ends up at your doorstep 1-2 days quicker then it should. Plus the items are packed very well 95% of the time. But like i said, nothing wrong with tigerdirect. |

Our tigerdirect account has over $10,000 in items on it. We have never had a problem with tiger before except. 1) Sometimes the shit is on back order and that's not made apparent when you place the order. You really don't figure it out until the stuff arrives and stuff is missing. This has happened twice in 4 years. 2) The rebates thing... well it is what it is. The price listed is the rebate price. It means that when your product comes in, you will need to cut off the bar code, fill out a form, mail it to tiger and wait for them to cut you a check. Do they do it? Of course, but half the time by the time you get your stuff you say "fuck it, $35 isn't worth me having to find a stamp" As far as what glitch said about tax, it depends on what state the company is based out of. I don't think tigerdirect charges tax ????? and if they do I don't see why newegg wouldn't. Either way it's prolly just 5% state sales tax which would be what? $5 on every $100? That shouldn't make or break your decision. And last but not least why I use tigerdirect. Because the website is infinitely easier to navigate and find shit. Which to me, is probably more important. I'd pay extra for simplicity. |

yeah well Newegg, like glitch said, is very dependable. They shipped to me really fast, and what I paid, is what I paid. Very good service Why I want to go to tigerdirect... They explain every computer part in great, great detail. With some things on newegg, you had to go through the reviews to find something out, with tiger direct you know everything. plus, if there rebates work, they will be really cheap, even with the $1.99 shipping, it sounds like steal. idk, I'm going to go through the parts that I listed. Glitch didn't say there was an issue with anything, so I'm gonna do it!! I'm psyched to finally order stuff. fucking sweet!! |

Alright, like I chatboxed the other day, Tiger Direct through me in shambles over my mom's credit card info. Like I understand being "safe" for no frauders, but holy fucking shit they gave me such a hassle. I tried the information 15 fucking times, gave up for the night, go into the school and try it out again, cause I memorized the numbers, and it worked the first try. Doesn't make any fucking sense to me, but I will say, I will go to Newegg from now on, even if they aren't the cheapest. so sick of shit like that.

Sounds like you did it wrong 15 times. Never had trouble once... entering payment info... lol ever... the easiest part of the entire site is the "give me money" part... lol P.S. Don't put the shit together yourself. Sounds like you'd fuck it up. |
