Please halp! Its been forever without a working mic for CSS. It works for everything else but CSS, so its a source problem only. I checked sound settings in windows, and its reading my mic. I can hear my voice playback. So i know its working. I also went into Steam, went to settings, went to voice, and clicked "test microphone" and i heard my voice. This means its working. HOWEVER! When i load CSS, go into options, go to voice, and click test microphone... IT DOESNT WORK FOR SHIT! It dont work in-game, it doesnt pick up any sound. Everything is enabled, volume is at max, buttons are binded... nothing works. I browsed all of google and steam forums, as well as CSS forums and i found nothing. Please somebody help me. I have a very outdated, discontinued Plantronics DSP-500 USB Headset. It worked before, it worked during CAL... but somehow, it decided to stop working all of a sudden. |

It's a shame that people like you have no mics.... but people like Coleman do. Oh, yea... No idea. Maybe update drivers? (I don't know if that even has drivers, I jsut want to sound smart). Edited Fri Sep 19 2008, 11:12PM |

I dont need them actually. For fuck sake, i havent had drivers for this in 4 years, and its worked all this time. It still does work, but not with Source. It stopped working for CSS 2 months ago. All for no reason. |

Reinstall counter strike & delete your clientregistry.blob. Make sure your shit is enabled... That's all. |
