amen cat_poop, total publicity stunt. dude is a pussy and the second he tried to rip away and wrestle with the cops, he loses. dude has his own website he's trying to push traffic to, but i won't give him the pleasure of posting it here. i hate cops as much as the next person, but this guy was out looking for a fight and i'm glad they gave it to him. i hope it hurt. |

sierramist wrote ... Notice how he was handcuffed when he got tazered? It is perfectly legal and a justifiable use of force to taze someone while they are handcuffed if they are being non compliant. I used to taze people all the time before or after I handcuffed them if they chose to resist. Nothing wrong with it. This moron disobeyed a direct order from the police and resisted. The police used non-lethal measures to take him into custody. Textbook correct way to handle the situation. Goat wrote ... fuck USA cops are retarded. Hey asswipe. I was a cop. How about you leave your dickhead generalizations out of the fucking forums because not everyone is like that. So STFU asswipe. Goat wrote ... i have had cops here and cops in the states tell me directly that usa cops are worse. Hey assbag. Life lesson. Don't believe everything someone else tells you. Make your own decisions from what YOU see and experience yourself instead of what OTHERS tell you. Goat wrote ... I don't understand why you care that I'm sterotyping the police.. They break up parties and are gay....plain and simple I dont like them when they ruin shit....I watched my firends get pepper sprayed and beat with a baton. So i think Im allowed to not like them thanks. Kool-Aid wrote ... Cops in general are party-poopers. But that's their job. Doesn't mean I can't hate them for it. That is NOT a cops only job. These are such immature statements. The majority of police are police officers to HELP people. Granted there are some shithead cops out there who do it for stature or the power but that is NOT all of them and most of them are forced out pretty quickly but I am not going to deny that a few fall through the cracks and stay around a while. Helping people means forcing them to realize the errors in their own ways. Things that people wont admit to themselves. The law is there for a reason and if you want to get into a debate as to whether or not society would crumble or prevail without laws in place then do it in another thread. You look at cops and just think they are there to break up parties and ruin kids lives. You don't see half the shit that goes on around you. It's called a one-way mirror. Regular people only see what they want to in the reflection of the mirror. Cops live behind that mirror. We see all of the real world. We see the worst of your neighbors and your closest friends. We wear a vest everyday and understand that every single time we go to work, we may not come home at the end of the day. That is our world. We put our lives on the line to protect all of you from the bad events that you never see coming. I've been stabbed 4 times and shot at more times than I care to remember. I've been there to see officers I worked with be seriously injured or fatally wounded. I've had to drag them out of the open from the middle of a gunfight. All of the while, you don't know what goes on. You wait for the news to tell you about it except the majority of our work doesn't make the news. We are there when your dad or your friend's dad decides to beat their wife or their children. Or when a mother leaves her infant in a sealed car in the middle of the summer because she had to run into Target for 20 minutes to do some shopping. They all get arrested because of their actions. Each action has a consequence but we are the bad guys in all of this so you choose to hate us. A mistake shouldn't ruin your life and everyone makes mistakes but every mistake has a consequence. Same concept of touching a hot stove. Consequence is you get burned. You learned not to touch a hot stove. Same concept applies as you get older. Not just when you are a small child. You both specifically talk about parties. You both say cops break up parties cause they have nothing better to do or are party poopers. Wrong. Parties are usually thrown by kids when their parents go out of town and trust their kids in the house alone. What can happen at these parties? Things are broken. Things are stolen. People drink underage. Then decide to drive. Girls can be sexually assaulted or raped. Or girls make poor decisions and then claim they were raped. We do break up parties. Because I don't want to go to someone's parents and tell them their daughter was raped. I don't want to go to someone's parents house at 3 am to tell them their son or daughter died in a car accident because they made a poor decision to drink and drive. I don't want to have someone live with the fact they killed a friend or friends because they got into a car accident while they were drinking and driving. And I don't want to have someone kill someone else on the road because they were drinking and driving. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of having mothers collapse in my arms at the sound they'll never see their child again. I can accept if you don't like cops because you drive over the speed limit, get stopped, get a ticket, and have to pay a fine. But that cop wasn't in the car pushing the gas pedal of your car down. You chose to drive faster than the posted speed limit. Accept the consequences of your actions. I was a cop and I get tickets just like everyone else if I was being stupid. I don't bitch. I accept it and learn from it. Faster you drive the less control you have over your car and more stopping distance it requires. I spent months in the academy driving at high speeds all the time so that when I did get into my first pursuit I didn't wreck my cruiser. Doesn't mean that I didn't get in accidents because I was driving too fast and someone stopped short. I accept the consequences of my action and thank God no one was seriously hurt or killed. Deal with it and stop bitching about cops. I'm sick and tired of that shit. Maybe none of you realize anything of what I wrote because you are too damn young to think about anything else in the real world but you better pull your heads out of your asses and realize there are people here who take offense to your shithead, immature, generalized statements. jigg4joe wrote ... i hate cops as much as the next person That's it. wild is 100% right about everything. I have hated cops at one point. When i got my first speeding ticket, i was speeding home from work because i was about to shit my pants with diahrrea. It happens. I have hated cops because my friend was arrested for being across the street from ppl smoking weed. It happens. And i hated cops for arresting my friend in seaside. Yet he was drinking in public AND was underage. The cops gave him a second chance to spill it out. He said no, then proceeded to give them false information about himself... He deserved it. There are tons more to tell. But out of all the experiences ive been through, i still love cops. Me and my friends drinking in a parking lot all underage, and a cop van drives up to us. He tells us to lower the music and dont get out of hand. He knows we were drinking because you could smell the beer on us. Half of us looked really young. And i mean come on... In a parking lot at night... But he said he was in a good mood and told us not to give him a reason to come back. Also, countless times my friends got pulled over for speeding. My friend was doing 95 in a 65 on the NJ Turnpike. The same kid that got arrested in seaside. He was on his way back because that night he got a summons. So like an idiot he was speeding to get there. Got pulled over. The NJ Cop pulls him over and asks for his license. He gives him his CDL license. The cop admired that a kid his age strived to aquire one. He even told the cop he was on his way to court for a summons for drinking in public (idiot). The cop let him go with a $75 ticket for Obstruction of View. His GPS was on the dash. YET SOME PPL STILL BITCHED ABOUT THAT TICKET. I was like, that cop was a great guy. He coulda took his license away on the spot. Or gave him a ticket with like a $2000 fine. Lucky bastard. There are more good cop stories but you get the picture. Stop bitching about cops, if there werent any, we would all be living in hell. As for the movie, that kid is an asshole. He deserved it. What the video doesnt show you, is what happened before the last question. When he asked countless numbers of questions. I believe thats what happened. Anywayz, if i was him, i would shut the fuck up and went with the cops. They woulda released him at the station. But he has to be a moron. And i heard one of the other students scream out "Police Brutality!" I was saying to myself, HIT HIM WITH A BATON! lol. I like USA cops... What i really hate is USA Media. They show you what they want to show you. And im not stereotyping against them, because i work for Fox News. gLiTch out. |

Wildcard, question mostly directed at you here, former cop and all. What was the reason for his being arrested? He was an asshole, but he wasn't yelling fire in a theater. Aren't there Supreme Court cases that protect a citizen's right to resist arrest if in fact the arrest is unlawful? And if it was a lawful arrest, doesn't the law say that the police must tell him why he is being arrested? No hostility, just wondering. |

Amped wrote ... And if it was a lawful arrest, doesn't the law say that the police must tell him why he is being arrested? Miranda... But how do you know the cops didnt tell him why. How do you know they didnt tell him he was going to be arrested for "whatever" before he asked that last question. You cannot go by the video. Its more anti-cop propaganda trying to show "Police Brutality." It doesnt show the whole story. Tazering him stopped him from resisting. They gave him MORE then enough chances to comply with them. And warned him of a Tazer 2-3 times before they did. He still refused to listen. He got what was comming to him. Judging by his actions in the video, stating loudly many times, that he was being arrested for no reason, it is unlawful, and resisting, it was for publicity and compensation. Not to mention, it gave way for a potential riot. Thats my opinion. Simple truth is, you dont know what else happened. You werent there, and he woulda been fine if he just didnt resist and went with them. Like i said, he woulda been released at the station. Ask yourself this question. Is it so hard to listen to a cop when he asks you to do something? Everyone knows that when you fight with a cop, you lose. And if you happen to be right, then settle it the legal, non-violent way down at the station. He was wrong in every way. Edited Wed Sep 19 2007, 10:36PM |

I didn't say that I know that the cops didn't tell him why. All I know is that I've been watching video after video from different cameras, listening for it, and I heard nothing even close to the cops even answering his question. So I'm not really sure why you're flaming me here... Especially since you said that the arrest was unlawful, and then you said he was wrong in every way. I think you meant to say he was wrong in every way except for the part where he was being arrested unlawfully and had the right to resist? And like I said, I'm not sure about the resisting unlawful arrest. All I could find was a Kansas State Supreme Court case about it. That would be why I posed the question to Wildcard. So there's no need to reiterate exactly what everyone else just said, because I can read too. My questions were valid, so stop putting me in hypothetical "if you were being told by a cop to..." situations. I'm not a dumbass. |
