Oh I'm so down. I still play zombie escape sometimes on CS:S. Never gets old. So down for Office.
Also 15 years for me. Fuck man we are getting old as shit.
Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

Kirby wrote ... Last night i played on ftc with my brother. We live in the same house and therefore have the same ip address. I now get blinded everytime i die, even when he is not on the server. My bro hardly ever plays on there and then the one time we do play together im going to be blinded for it every time i die? Also are comp are in two separate rooms. Do you rly think we are going to be yelling out enemy positions acroos our house? How often your brother plays, or from what proximity to your computer, is not measured. You do realize that your screen fades to black because of an automated feature of a plugin, and not admin intervention, right? Kirby wrote ... I find this useless because there are so many other ways people can get around this to ghosting. You can ghost in vent, SteamFriends voice chat, Xfire voice chat, or any other voice communication system. This feature of the server is not stopping anything. You are automatically assuming that people MUST to be ghosting if they join the server with the same ip address. I would ethier like this feature of the server removed, or my ip be somehow added as an exception. You are assuming that because an anti-ghosting counter-measure fucks up your evening that it is "useless" and serves no purpose. This does not strike me as a very compelling reason to turn it off, nor do I see any obvious way to exclude your IP. Edited Thu Jun 05 2008, 02:18AM |

I completely understand that it is not an admin doing this everytime i die. I also understand that it cannot tell how far apart the two computers are. Alcosatz wrote ... Kirby wrote ... No. I am not assuming that because an anti-ghosting counter-measure fucks up my evening that it is useless and serves no purpose. I term it useless and/or pointless because it inhibits only one rarely used way out of the many other, far easier, ways to ghost. I made this point, I thought, relatively clear in the first two sentences of my second paragraph: Kirby wrote ... I find this useless because there are so many other ways people can get around this to ghosting. You can ghost in vent, SteamFriends voice chat, Xfire voice chat, or any other voice communication system. This feature of the server is not stopping anything. This server function is only stoping a very small pencentage of "ghosters". I'd be willing to bet that over 80% of the people blinded by this are not ghosting. They are more than likely in the same position that i am in. This feature, in my opinion, is causing more trouble for people than it is preventing. Edited Thu Jun 05 2008, 03:17AM |

and if were talking about ghosting... theres a higher chance that more people ghost on your vent channel and teamspeak than multitasking looking at their screen, another screen, and trying to aim. |

Cuz you seemed very bent out of shape over this whole thing. You started blathering on about how close your computers are and I figured I'd point out how ridiculous that is? Who fucking cares how close you and your bro are? Who gives a shit about the layout of your house? Why include such meaningless details? Kirby wrote ... Alcosatz wrote ... Kirby wrote ... Yeah... you actually are assuming that because something cramps your style that it must go. You choose to ignore the benefits of why this "useless" feature is here, and you are choosing to only judge its merit based on your position--nothing else. To do this is selfish. Kirby wrote ... FTC has survived for quite some time with this feature of Mani enabled. What are the metrics to prove that this feature should be disabled? You say small percentage of ghosters are stopped, but you can't tell us WHAT percentage is blocked.... from where do you gather your data? It sounds as though much of your argument is based on emotion. |
