How bout a few rounds of specialized gameplay like scout no-scoping rounds, knife rounds, and UMP rounds? I've played a few rounds of scout noscoping on another server and it was fun. I pulled the other suggestions out of my ass. |

Oh and we've had shottie night successfully once or twice haven't we? That was enjoyable. Anyway, I think these sorts of specialized nights might be more suited to the DM server. Suggestion: Specialized rounds and forms of gameplay do occur. Back hall nades comes to mind. However, there is little to no way (or desire really) to force it to occur. Sure we can write scripts that for a limited time prevent the buying of any weapon and then ma_give whatever we want to all the players. I've often wanted to do "Pistols Only" type rounds which I always think are cool. Or hell have an AWP war for a round. However two things must happen. First a Lead/Op needs to write the commands which is probably easy enough. (mani admin mod and scope's bind thread would tell you how). But the second trickier part is a Lead/Op needs motivation to even initiate it. It also needs to be timed right and match the loose flow of the gameplay, if the CT team is trying their ass off to win a rush after 6 round losing streak, switching to Knife & Smoke round is just going to piss them off. My suggestion, as I, Pig, Kt, Pracket and many other regulars have done in the past to spice things up is to just call the strat a round before. Say "next round guys we're going to pump shotty walk rush front office." and literally... 10 T's walked... slowly... to front office with pumps. Or the "Don't Move From Your Spawn Point" round. Where a rushing group of CT's was met by every T sporadically strewn about in their original spawn locations. The most infamous round strat I can remember was a strat me and another player (I'm sorry I forget which) developed after several rounds of just trying to think of the stupidest strat possible. We called it "Circle of Death". Every T formed a circle at round beginning and then threw nades at each other... It was glorious. People were autobanned, scores dropped into double digit negatives, the admin at the time (may have been omni lol) kicked the entire T team for acting like idiots... but we were laughing our asses off and genuinely having a blast. Moral of the story. Don't try to force these fun events that occur, removing the spontanuity (word?) removes some of the charm. It takes a certain team chemistry of fun cavalier players to make these things happen. Stupid round strats are always welcome though. Who knows, maybe we'll look into how to make participating in our stupid strats mandatory lol. Like teleporting both teams to the secret room equipped only with knives and kevlar lol... or AWPs... ahaha that'd be like an AWP war in a phone booth. |

Do also note that Mani comes built in with commands that restrict to certain(sp? that looks funny) guns: -Knives only -Shotguns -pistols -snipers (i think that is all of them) (may have been omni lol) Wasn't me--Don't remember ever doing that. |
