There are some interesting statements above. I'm torn between following through on an effort to discuss points raised or just state that you guys win about yTB. Some of the comments on K-D vs. KDR are sketchy, though. Maybe I'll put something together later about this. I think the 125 health granted by the afk_admin script needs to go. There are way too many complaints about this. People are fine with cash for losers of 3 rounds, though, and this seems to be a positive means of team balance. Mic and spray discretion needs to go. As I stated earlier, I give up on trying to maintain any sense of decorum when it comes to either. Players can client mute individuals, disable voice chat completely, disable sprays completely, etc. I personally think this is the wrong direction in which to move but I'm tired of people complaining that I am too restrictive concerning disruptive mic usage and objectionable sprays. I will say that it has been immensely enjoyable to just turn my back on people by client muting them--you don't want to deal with my bullshit and I gladly remove myself from hearing yours.

I think that with all of our increasing FT population, and more coming in, sometime soon we will have so many people going through FTC that we wont need mods to do this, and we will have admins constantly in there able to hand out money, like the old days. because it seems like that is what we are leaning towards going back to. idk, what I saw |

Handing out cash (and health) was very inconsistent when we used it before; however, players always clamored "money plz!" and it seemed to satisfy them. I guess it worked as placebo for team balance in many instances. I'll consider granting the ability to give cash to all of our admins. It seemed like it was mildly abused at times, though. Example: admin connects and jumps on "the losing team" (after watching the results of one round...!) and gives his or her "losing teammates" full cash as a means of balancing the teams. Don't mind that the admin just started playing and has full cash on his first round! Anyways, here's a little food for thought on team balance:   Notice the significant win streaks by T's followed by a severe drop in player count. |

Do you have any graphs from when we had yTB installed? Although sometimes it would stack the teams I had never seen 20 round win streaks among a team. Many admins (Such as myself) have to start getting used to swapping people again because I admit I let things go lately when it came to admins, even on being on the losing team. It is frustrating losing every round and the player count from the server shows it. The cash idea would be good to help balance teams, but I like the lose 3 rounds and gain 8000 better instead of having to make the admins do it. Like you said some people can join the losing team and use that for their advantage. |

I played a bit earlier and things looked good for the SM port of afk_admin--no more +25 health and 8K after 3k cash after losing rounds was working well. I didn't see much of a problem with teams tonight and didn't bother to swap anyone. I was tempted to at 8 straight wins for T's but it sorted itself out. Since we're no longer using any EventScripts I can nuke ES and ESTools from the server. Hooray! Oh, and I'll dig up some graphs from the yTB Era soon. |

speaking of yTB im almost wanting it back :/ idk, its kindof fucked up, because, today, there was stacking, on both teams, and people were fucking with me, saying I was bitching too much becuase I had no admin, but everytime a team was stacked, by like 30 rounds, I was always waiting for yTB, btu it was never ther :/ im just thinking, mabye it was sortof good to have it help teams some of the teams, it just had some flaws :/ |

IMO team balance on the server is terrible. The last few days i've been playing T's are generally stacked, and we go through 20-30 minutes of T team winning 11 straight, 8 straight, and ct's winning 1 every 5-10 rounds. Generally during these times only 1-2 of 8 of the stacked team die per round. You ever open up steam only to find that FTC is empty or nearly empty? I'm willing to bet its because one team got tired of being steamrolled and quit and after teams were "balanced" (its not balance, its just equal numbers) the people on the stacked team start leavign too, because they dont like gettign their asses kicked, they just like doing the kicking. Little aside to hearing some people talking about not trying to censor a lot anymore. I've played the server for a pretty long time and things used to be really good with only a few people breaking rules. More and more often admins were letting things go and not enforcing as strictly as maybe they should have. Now im reading alchy posting about how he's overwhelmed with having to enforce rules. In my opinion it's not much of a stretch to have seen this coming. I can't go 45 minutes on the server without someone intentionally tking or voice spamming. Generally it's people that wouldnt be missed if they were banned. I'd suggest admins not feel bad when someone's flaunting blatant douchebaggery. |

Woo hoo, yesterday I kept the score 90 T's to 88 CT wins or something like that. They would only get to about 3-5 wins apart. Yay for admin team swapping! | ||

I posted in another thread regarding ytb (I think we need a balance script), yet I just wanted to also say feel free to move me as needed or please bring it to my attention that you want me to switch teams. I don't pay attention to chat normally and I try and switch after I die when I notice a team in trouble...
