As promised in this thread I have investigated yTB, tested it for a few weeks on the test/dev server, and it looks solid. I made a slight modification to the script to display the exact (Kills - Deaths) difference between teams instead of the generic "CT/T's have the advantage." You can find more information about yTB here. I'm not interested in having swaps occur too frequently, but I would also like to see yTB used as more than an informational tool to see, K-D-wise, how imbalanced teams are.  The plan is to get everything prepared tonight and see how it works out on Saturday night and possibly Sunday. If there are too many issues with it then I will pull the script and we can evaluate what went wrong.Let me know if you have any questions or concerns, thanks. FYI, general details on the test/dev server are here (they are stickied in this forum). The test/dev server is still up and will remain so. Yes, Drunk, eventually. Some of the other stuff on the dev server will make its way over to FTC but it's never good to make too many changes at once (on a production system, at least). | ||

I was in the server testing with the bots, as Alcohol forgot to mention, and the script did its magic and sent the hacker bot to the other team and swapped with the retardo bot. It will save me from switching people at least.. It's not like my switches helped anyways. |

Yup, looks groovy. Can't wait to see it in action on FTC. As Drunk eluded to, there are also a few more scripts/plugins in the works that look pretty fun and useful. Stop by the Test/Development server and check them out! *EDIT* Its still good to have admins manually swap players if teams are stacked and this mod can assist when admins aren't around as well as with the printout in the chatbox, some players might even feel the need to swap themselves. You're one of several people that have stopped by to check out what we're working on for FTC, though, so you can't take all the credit for yourself!  Seriously though, I do appreciate the help. |
