Looks like CS:GO launched this afternoon and we've already got people connecting to the server--it's at 19/20 as I write this. There are a few last minute items to bring up: 1. Bots are now disabled. They are enabled by default (which is stupid), so when I removed the bot_quota 3 setting from the config file earlier today, it actually defaulted to bot_quota 10 setting. 2. I added some sv_tags to make our server stand out in the browser. I took a screenshot, but I'm not sure if you can see this: -[link]- 3. The MOTD still needs to be done, but there is only so much that I can put on there without stuff like player policies concerning camping, weapon abuse, general code of conduct, etc. Lead Admins need to get on that stuff because I believe that's why you signed up for the job. I would like to thank the people who have put in time to test over the past week, and helped identify problems. We've still got more work ahead of us but right now I hope everyone can hop on the server and enjoy it tonight. Good work people! Now let's wait for this thing to crash.

And yes, im anal about the rules. That is not necessarily a bad thing. I signed up for it knowing i may get shit and negative attention... i'll deal with it. I also know i tend to have more patience than most people in this clan which is also why i signed up for this. Since you are referring to my "anal-ness" about Mark's proposal, his proposal is a shining bright example of why my wording was so specific in Article XI. That whole thread is a disorganized pathetic clusterfuck of a vote (which it is indeed not a legit vote). Some of my articles may not be flawless as i did not intend them to be...more like a quick jumpstart... but Article XI was written flawless so we as a clan may have an organized, structured, and civil transition between old and new rules. Aside from all that, great job on the server. |

You are uptight about the rules, and I agree that this is a good thing. I've commented in multiple threads that I am the same way and, in case it wasn't too clear, you've bested me twice now. The first was when you pointed out that Knightrider and I were not members of the FT clan, so (at least) my criticisms about your Constitution were not valid because I was not actually an FT member. Again, you were correct in stating this and I was humbled by your mastery of playing this game. The topic that you specifically mentioned, Knightrider's recent faux-proposal to amend your Constitution, is the other instance where you have beaten me at this game. I freely admit this, and I'm not upset about it. I will continue to point out that you are a rules lawyer but that doesn't mean that I'm holding much of a grudge. Think of it as a compliment! Bubble Goose was very pleased when he would best me at an argument, so you're in good company! That said, the important thing here is not that you're a rules lawyer. It's that you and the other people in the "Lead Admin" team are basically AWOL. That's what I was trying to point out. I'm really glad that you spent a whole sentence saying that you'll talk to b4ndito about it. The rest of your post was basically you being concerned about settling scores, mainly how butthurt you think I am (really, I'm not--you win!) concerning Knightrider's proposal. Way to keep things in perspective, man! So I'll kindly say this again: do the fucking job that you signed up for. |
