What do you want to see in the first (and last if we fuck this up) CS:GO incarnation of FT Classic? My suggestion is to focus on basic rules first (weapon selection, camping policy, etc.), and then branch out into plugins, stats, etc. I shy away from plugin-related topics because they could be spotty depending on how well the various plugins and stats software works for the new CS:GO engine. In other words: focus on the stuff we can easily control and don't take advanced features like team balancing, mugging, bank, etc. too seriously. So, assuming it wouldn't be FT Classic with anything other than 24/7 office, what are the "must have" aspects of FT Classic for you? |

Well, I guess I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, so here we go. For basic rules: - 2:30 rounds. Keeps the game flowing quick, but not short enough to where the CTs don't have enough time to strategize and do their objective. - If you're still not in the office (this means you're not on the carpeting and not out of front office) you will be warned numerous times and slayed if you fail to adhere to the rules. - I don't want to be jumping the gun here, because we're going to have to do a vote if we want FF on or off, but obvious rules apply to team attacking. - Admin warnings should go as: 1. Warn. 2. Slay. 3. Kick. 4. Warn. 5. Temp ban. 6. Perma ban. - No AWP. Keep that in the de_ servers where it belongs. - 16k cash. I liked earning my way up to good guns, but the problem with this is it keeps it balanced in the beginning, but can become lopsided if the teams are stacked. You have your team full of T's and 7k cash and your CTs with 2,500k getting raped and shat on round after round. Lots and lots of ragequitting. - See other thread for plugin suggestions. |

Good start. - The cash thing is a good idea...but it can make things seem a bit routine too quickly. I understand how the teams can get lopsided but we had a solution for that in the past. Admins used to grant the severely losing team cash during a round which sort of almost instantly corrected the issue. Later on when plug-ins come into affect, we could have a plug-in that automatically grants 16K to the team who consecutively lost 5-6 times. - The admin policy is good. - Racism...important issue. Racism should not be tolerated at all. If caught, he should be kicked. If he comes back, warn him not to do it again otherwise permaban. If he does then you perma ban him. Obviously...if someone is using some terms as a joke and it is accepted by everyone then ok. However, any terms or statements that are purposely used to degrade or hurt someone should be dealt accordingly. Calling MadV a "dark" i would believe doesnt constitute as an offense. - FF should be on imo...but a vote would be needed. We always had it in the past and FF was dealt with by "and eye for an eye" by the victim or an instant slay via plug-in or admin upon a FF kill. I know plug-ins are not to be discussed here but fun options for a slay is also good to consider. Repeated FF should be dealt with a kick. I'll think of a few more. |

Friendly Fire is a must; allow the forgive/slay option, admin team will take care of abuse. Maybe a spree of team kills merits a day long temp ban. We also need to have Ice Cube's She Couldn't Make It on Her Own playing loudly on the server 24/7 Edited Tue Jul 03 2012, 09:43PM |

Well, now we all know where you stand, Omni... and I happen to share your opinion!  If anyone wants to make suggestions then now and here is the time and place to do so. Whoever ends up making decisions (which is typically the person who is on the hook for a monthly rental fee, and will most likely NOT be me!) will certainly benefit from this thread. In other words: don't miss your chance to speak up about how you want the new FTC to operate. |
