I think that I wouldn't mind having bots as long as they left after at least 6 human players joined. Yet that might create considerable confusion among non-regulars not understanding. | ||

Stats don't start working until two or more people are in the server Bots can be made to leave after 2 or more people join the server Coincidence? I think not  No one has even replied to me preaching this over and over again. If I am wrong and that is totally not possible, tell me. |

Comprehensive plan? Here it is. Use bots to consistently keep the server populated at 10 players. Then, for every human that joins, a bot leaves. If a human leaves, then a bot will join to ensure that a minimum of 10 players are on the server at any given time. Potential difficulties: 1) Stats Solution: Fuck stats. Seriously. What's the point of having stats on an empty server. If we can get to the point where the server can maintain a 12+ player count without using bots, then we can consider reintroducing stats. Until then, stats are like a ground kit & rear spolier on a Ford Escort. 2) Potential issues that could arise. Solution: Who knows? Can't solve a problem when we don't even know what the problem is. Let's create the problem, then fix it. Just do it. Just do it now. It's the easiest solution anyone has proposed to increasing the activity on the server. It requires the least amount of effort on the part of everyone... Will it work? Will it solve our popularity problem? I don't fucking know, but it's easy, quick and it follows the most important rule when solving a problem: "DO SOMETHING!" Sitting here staring at the empty server going "Uh... gee... uh... I bet fucking guns that shoot balloons would increase population..." is stupid and a waste of fucking time. You're all fired. |
