it isn't the fact that an actor died. It's the fact that one of the greats that actually are alive died. And also, if a musician dies, or even a coach, it has been posted. This isn't the first RIP thread. IF I was to make a post about my bud who died a few years back, would I get the same responses? Grow up and show some respect for a great actor. |

Dude, he was a good actor, whether you detest him for being famous or not, you feel sorry for the people who have affected you. I can say that his performances in both The Patriot and Ten Things I Hate About You touched me personally. He did a great job, and he doesn't deserve your cynicism just because he's one of the few people who can actually act well enough to be in box office hits. It doesn't matter if his death is only famous because he is. He died, he touched people (metaphorically, I hope), and he should be commemorated. |

Ok, I know you are all really secretly scared of gays, and to tell you something. One of the most amazing movies I've ever have seen is Brokeback. Now if you can come here, and tell me that 100% of anyone that knows anything about movies (including myself, since it's what I major in) they are wrong, and the movie did not deserve all those awards, and was a bad movie, please, make yourself look like an idiot. And also I didn't flame, if you don't like him, I don't see a reason for you to post here. Heath Ledger has been one of the greats, and I cannot wait to see him and C. Bale on the screen together in the new Batman. But it is a shame to lose a great actor who could make you think, make you feel, for a fictional character. | ||

I'm mostly pissed that anyone is willing to overlook the original Joker and to not mention Jack Nicholos' name in the same sentence is blasphemous. And as promised, here is the post that will re-occur everytime you feel the need to censor me. This is a battle you can't win because I won't quit. Censorship is a tool of the weak and insecure. Why hide from others an opinion that is as valid as yours. Regardless of your major in Film I take it because I have some pothead friends who could say they major in "movies" but that's not a major... I mean... that's just pathetic. My other post got deleted, so here it is again. He was a good actor, but how does that make him better then anyone else? Also, @ your bud RIP thread. I would have no objections. You knew the man personally, most likely had a good relationship and its a real loss. However, if your going to make a post about somone who really didn't contribute anything to society except for for a good movie or two, you might as well make a post for every other guy who entertained you in one way or another. I'm sick of tired of hearing about celebrities in the news , top headlines bla bla bla. Just because a lot of people know you for making a good movie does not make ones death special in any way. One example is Buddha's thread. He writes about how his teacher died, and everyone is laughing. She might have been a bitch, but she was a person who did her part for society by passong on knowledge to the next generation of nubs. Now don't tell me to grow up, when it's obviously you who should be doing just that. Why even bother flaming me for a post that wasn't meant to be disrespectful? |

Noskill, you fail to realize that your post can be deleted and then the thread can be locked. Thank you Pracket for calmly showing your side of the story. I partially agree with you on that, but movies affect a lot more people than a teacher ever would... Heath Ledger was only 28 when he died... I'm sure the teacher at Buddha's school was quite a bit older than that........... *He just kept talking in one incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one could interrupt him it was really quite hypnotic.* |
