Isn't Cloverfield just another remake of Godzilla?  I just saw Charlie Wilson's War a few days ago. The acting was spot on, Philip Seymour Hoffman was hilarious and Julia Roberts looked killer in that bikini.  As for the movie's content and message,,, it was clearly twisted propoganda and loaded with subliminal neo-con bullshit.The movie surrounds a character by the name of Charlie Wilson, a Texas congressman, who spearheaded an effort to supply Afghan freedom-fighters (Mujahedeen) with money, training and military equipment to combat the 'Reds' from Russia. Osama sez: "The name 'al-Qaeda' was established a long time ago by mere chance. The late Abu Ebeida El-Banashiri established the training camps for our mujahedeen against Russia's terrorism. We used to call the training camp al-Qaeda. The name stayed." This movie is about how the US funded and trained the Mujahedeen, (who would later be known as al-Qaeda), and yet it doesn't once say the words 'al-Queda' or mentions the connection between US funding and 'creation of Terrorism'. An omission of this magnitude should raise alarm bells. There are so many times that I actualy lol'd at the 'historical accuracy' of this crap. This movie tries to rewrite history with a desired spin and should be watched critically and with caution.

Thank you bubble for the movie review of CW's war. I was thinknig of downloading it, since it isn't a movie you need to see on the big screen. I'm pretty sick of everyone thinking that cloverfield is gonna be bad, without seeing it. Did you think I thought the Mona Lisa Smile was bad before I saw it? No, but after I saw it, shit it was bad. Atleast I got laid for it. But really JJ ain't putting out a bad movie, he is one of the biggest perfectionists known in Hollywood, Also considered one of the top people to know in Hollywood. If you like monster, post-apocalyptic camera work, and plot twists and turns, and explosions, I would say give it the 9.50 to see it, or even go matinée for less!? |

just saw the movie. People complain because the movie was a camcorder. HONESTLY WTF FAGS. If you watched a fuckin trailer or went to the website, IT TELLS YOU THAT. Dont complain for that reason. For a personal video camera movie, it was epic. You felt like you were there, one of the people not knowing WTF was going on. The movie was hella suspenseful, and i think it was the MOST suspenseful movie i have seen thus far. This is because i tend to get INTO the movie when i watch it. It was short however, but i understand why. And ANYONE with any slight intelligence will understand why as well when you see it. I give it a 10/10. P.S. It is nothing what you think... and dragon....ROFL.... Think again. Its america's monster of today. Truly unique in design. If you are like me, like suspense, and love it when a character in the movie find out something important, then go see it. It makes you feel like you were there, and makes you want more. |
