id go with the following, Great teacher onizuka (GTO), Full Metal Panic, Chrono Crusade, Bleach, Naruto, Inuyasha, Shakugan no Shana, Claymore, Fate stay/night, D Gray Man, Tri-gun, Rune Soldier, Slayers, Gun Sword, Ranma 1/2 and some other ones

I've seen a fair share of anime in my day. Dragonball Z was a very good show, IMO. It has its flaws, but it's very entertaining and there are hundreds of episodes. My friend likes Full Metal Alchemist, although I've also heard bad things about it. I've been watching some Cowboy Bebop recently, and I can say it is definitely above average. Ghost in the Shell wasn't bad; Appleseed is worth watching. Grave of the Fireflies is good, I guess, if you like World War II and poverty and shit. I couldn't sit through Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind because it seemed so similar to Princess Mononoke. Steamboy was alright; Metropolis was pretty cool, and Spirited Away is very, very well made. Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite movies of any genre. It is brilliant and beautiful. Akira has to be the best anime I have ever seen. It is probably the best ever made. If you haven't seen it, see it immediately. |

Dragonball Z is way too cheesy... I just watch Inuyasha when I have time, Naruto is OK too... | ||

Additional series to check out: Busou Renkin - A series about a secret war dealing with 2 branches of alchemy. Very cool action packed with a interesting storyline and a lot of laughs. (note be warned there are a lot of gay outfits worn by one particular char.) Futakoi - A love comedy about twins. Futakoi Alternative - A crazy comedy about a detective and his female twin assistants. Has a lot of char from futakoi. Hellsing Ultimate - Redone version of hellsing that is closer to the manga. Unlike the original series which instantly changed the second they got towards the Nazis this one has already shown that they will be entering the series. Still in OAV. Kyou Kara Maou - A comedy about a normal japnese boy who is brought to another world where demons (very human like demons) and humans are fighting. He soon finds out that he is the king of the demons raised on earth. Code Geass - Japan has been invaded and conquered by the Britannian Empire. Japan is now known as `Area 11` and its citizens known as `Elevens`. The Britannian Empire takes away Japan`s autonomous power and imposes its rule through the use of `Nightmares/Knightmares`. The Empire`s rule has never faltered, but cracks have begun to show. The Britannian youth, Lelouch, received a special power from a mysterious girl. GEASS. An absolute power which allows the user to give orders to anyone. Lelouch decided to plan the destruction of the Britannian Empire by using this as a weapon. his goals are take revenge for his mother, and create a world in which his little sister, Nunnally, could live in peace.
