Also, loving Back 4 Blood. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys coop zombie action. I play on steam. gLiTch handle was retired with FT. You can find me as theRemedy on Steam friends.

Super down for a rerun. I think we all have some old connections to plan something ahead of time, on an updated game, or even outdated, for all of us to do an event on. I would look forward to that very much

The server is usually active when I log on. It's only during school hours and the morning that it is usually empy. It's hard for me to say whether or not FT is dying, considering I have only been here a couple months. However, I have to agree with Buddha and some others. I remember there being a thread along the lines of "OMG SO MANY PEOPLE ARE BECOMING FT!" If people continue to be interested in FT, then the clan will not die. ps. A forum clan is better then no clan. Shows people still give a shit p.ps. I actually read Wild's post. Does the make me queer? |

And yes, reading it makes you queer, since two paragraphs are reviews of operating systems, ie nerd posts hahahahaha. And he has a point, FT can continue to grow. Also, the idea of seeing all FT on the server isn't bad, since we're not like some elite club, we're just loyalists. I'd love for one day to see 22 FT members, 10 of which would be getting owned by me, 11 if Wild was on my team |

I'm not actually in the clan, so maybe I'm a lil out of place here, but I've been playin here for over 2 years, and i thought i would throw in my two cents. Over the past 2 years I've seen the clans activity fluctuate alot, based on drama, a new game coming out, and other things. However, when a name game comes out that sucks attention away from FTC and FTsurf, ive noticed that people almost always come back. I've noticed that people leave for a month or two, then are back on there fish tank CS:S server. I think it'll be just the same. Now, if the clan involvement in CS:S really is permenately dying, and not just going through a phase of a different game, then we should embrace that. I don't think it matters which game were playin, I think we'll have fun either way. I haven't bought TF2 yet, but if FTC and surf go down, i know i would buy it just to continue playing with all the people i know here. I'm not even in the clan, and I would, so I'm pretty sure all the clan members would be more than willing to |

interesting point fetus. i have to admit, before i looked at this thread, the title led me to assume that it was some super-gay home video. usually when threads like these come up, i dont usually weigh in on them, for various reasons. ie: i dont have time to make long posts, too lazy, dont really have an opinion, etc. however this sparked my interest. i agree with you that many of the old guard play alot less, i miss the days of zad. im in college as are many other members, so it eats into alot of gaming time, but i still love to hop in the game and play when i have some free time. i do not think the game is dying however. cs fills a niche. there is no other game like it. it is the only first person shooter with such a high level of realism. to me, it is like a simulation. there arent that many games out there where strategies, tactical decision-making, and teamwork are so integral to the gameplay. i barely even notice the graphics, but they are still great. the physics are ahead of their time and are still in the top of their class, even with newer games coming out. one of the biggest attractions to the game for me is this clan. i have been involved in some way since i first bought the game when it came out. i have seen the growth and evolution of the clan, and i am proud of where we are. i have never seen a clan this large, or this democratic, in any game, ever. we are truly unique. when i was in high school, and in my earlier years of college, i could play cs for an entire day, and then the next day, i would play more. for some reason though, it does not hold my interest for that period of time any more. i guess its just because im becoming an adult and i have so many responsibilities and other things to occupy me. im sure that is the case with many of you guys too. thats not to say it isnt fun anymore. i love this game, but it just lost some of its magic for me my buddies ask me, "dude, how can you play the same map, in the same server, all the time?" it never gets old. i love playin with you guys and this clan is probably the only reason i got into cs to this extent. i think the clan does a good job of staying flexible when it comes to newer games that come out. we had a BF2142 server for a while, but the game never really took off. there is a TF2 server, and there are surf and gungame servers. the thing about TF2 is that if a server isnt too populated, the game isnt as fun. however, a 1v1 or 2v2 in cs is still a good time. im positive that the next game that comes out with the same level of popularity of cs that the fish tank will be all over that shit. There are many reasons why CS is dying. It's formula has been cloned 1,000 times over with games such as CoD and Halo to some extent, though I doubt CS:S will ever die (unless a new CS comes out). Now with that said, in comparison to other games, CS:S is still a 'new' game. Diablo II is over 7 years old, and still has a base of 45-50K users. Like a middle-aged man, CSS is still able to be plenty of fun, but the end looms like a cumshot to the face from fetus. Yes, the FT Veterans are becoming few and far between, but there are others always ready to take their place. Many of the current forum members I barely know, as compared to a couple years ago when I felt 'connected' to everyone. This naturally happens with everything in life, people move on and there's nothing that can be done. CSS may not be at its peak, but it sure as hell isn't dead. |

Wow interesting things going on here. I wanna give my opinion. I think the clan is great, nothing negative is happening, it's a great thing we have a TF2 server (not to mention the more slots in the server the better), which will help the clan become more popular. it's freaking great i had fun playing with buddha, Kcow, Gl4sed, lol ...someone else. If FTers play the TF2 server often like that, then more people will join one by one into our server.... And if more people do join that TF2 server they'd be probably interested in joining!! And i really dont like the word "dying", it's very negative towards this clan. Instead u guys shoulda used like declining or something... jeez. I joined this clan, it's fun, it's great, and it's improving itself because the FTers dont loose interest in this clan. I would say this clan fluctuates from Web-based clan to CS-based clan. Since we have school to go to, we become a web-based, and when we are out of school more people play the game. It makes sense.. P.S. this is a great thread lol. It's fun to read through everyone's posts where it's not only one word lol...or something out of topic. Edited Sun Nov 04 2007, 07:35PM |

Do you know how many people play and compete at 1.6? Have you seen 1.6? It looks like ass, and is old as shit, but still has thousands of users. Yes, its slowly shrinking in user base, but its much older then source, and...looks like ass. Go play it for 5 minutes, get shot through walls and ponder why you are 3 feet tall and the models all look the same, and then tell me source is going to die because its getting old. | ||
