hmmm, i think it was because of the fact he had "operational grenades". not so much about the weapons especially since the 9mm rifle didn't have ammunition. As for the airsofts.....thats pretty strange too. Usually they're alot more relaxed about shit in PA compared to here in NJ or in NY. Last time a cop came and yelled at us about mine and friends airsoft collection basically he just said don't bring them outside. -_-' the ones in the video don't look like gas guns either, alot of those magazines looked spring/electric minus the shotty | ||

The "grenades" were plastic cases with pellets and gunpowder. They'd do less damage than CS grenades. and that's saying something. | ||

The media blowing things out of proportion?? No way!  All major US media outlets (TV and Print) are owned and controlled by 6 major corporations and they are all plastering us with the same message. Be AFRAID (of terrorists, collapsing bridges, the weather, other countries, Islam, your own fellow citizens) and they tell us to put our faith in Political Leaders who will protect us from these fearful forces. LoLs. Once in a while they will throw in a funny/Paris Hilton/irrelevant story, but the purpose of today's Media is to convey a politically driven agenda in the form of mass propoganda, and to do it under the guise of 'fair and balanced facts'. The government will tell us a lie, and its the media's job to sell it to us. A few more of these school shootings, (or mere threats of them) will send the ignorant public into an uproar and the 'cattle' will look to the government to enact laws in order to protect our precious children. The media is putting the message across that school shootings are not limited to inner city or urban schools (in this case the school was in a suburb) and that your child can get shot in any classroom in the US. This widespread fear and uncertainty will cause parents and 'concerned citizens' to demand metal detectors to be placed in every school and security guards who will search each backpack, and pat down every student before they can enter. These kids will grow up thinking that 'illegal search and seizure' is the norm because it is all they have ever known. More Patriot Act style legislation that erodes civil liberties will be expected by the fearful masses who are willing to, and demanding to trade anything (even Constitutionally gauranteed rights) in exchange for 'protection'. nostie wrote ... fuck that kid. Why do u guys give a shit about him. your not the one with the guns and your not the ones getting arrested. What if u went to that school the day that kid walked in with those nades. Sure they arent crazy strong, but what if he launched it in your face, and you had an explosion with pellets... How would u feel about the situation then. I think they did the right thing. Goose, actually recently the nearest high school to me, Springfield High School (i think) someone brought an AK into school and killed himself... so others might have been thinking "it would never happen here" but I wasn't. |
