This was so bad that I got pissed off every time a new supervillain came out of nowhere, and was mostly bored the whole movie. Except when Kirsten Dunst got naked. Except that never happened. |

Kirsten Dunst is the ugliest actor to play Mary Jane. She's supposed to be hot. 28 weeks later was pretty kewl. The only thing was the camera work was going to make me have a seizure after a while. And I felt that the movie was just a very long trailor for an upcomming one. For those of you that haven't seen it, you'll find out. Btw, 28 weeks later marks the 5th movie in a row that I've seen on release. Boo yah. |

When the Peter Parker emo came on all my friends looked and me and said "Hey you look exactly like him, since you got your haircut." and i jsut said "STFU IM NOT EMO!!" but my biggest problems were 1) The american flag thing when he jumped on the building 2) NO RHINO!!! I actually enjoyed the film. You guys went in expecting to see 1 and 2 again, and it just was never going to be that. I'm as big of a spiderman fan as you get, and think the films have just been great, kind of true to the comics, but taking on its own life. The fans all wanted venom in this film, where Rami didn't. He wanted it to be sandman, then venom in the next. Rami isn't an idiot, he is actually a very good director. Now that he squeezed two bad guys into one film though, it caused problems, but it was what all the fans wanted at first. Producers pushing venom into the film. Anyone knows venom is too big of a bad guy to share the spotlight. The next spiderman will probably have to have carnage in it, because otherwise venom is gone from the next film. Now you are cutting out the whole spiderman story because so many fans wanted venom. No one looks at the good side though? How sick was Eddie Brock's venom? like when he screamed? Or how about when he revealed his true face, and his teeth were all fucked up? How about the transformation scene in the bell tower? That was sick. Or how much peter changed when he took on venom full fledged? I think Tobey did great acting in this film, probably better than all the other ones. I'm guessing rhyno is going to be played down if he ever shows up, But I'm just waiting for doc. conners to turn, he has been around long enough, why isn't he more important to the story (and if you don't know what I mean, then please never watch spiderman ever again). |

The Matrix: Revolutions had some great special effects, but if anyone says that was good I'll punch them in the face. I'm sick of people judging movies based on special effects. If that's what makes a great movie, then I guess all you need is money, right? No need for good actors or a good director, just money. Great, there was computer simulated black goo shit flying all over the screen. That sure made up for the cry-baby bullshit, hyperconcentrated plot, and lack of the organization necessary to make an interesting movie. And I know it's a movie, but does it really have to look that contrived? Does every single character and supervillain have to be interconnected in every single way possible? What happened to the good old supervillains that just wanted to fucking blow up the god damn world? Why now does the bad guy have to be suspected of killing a family member, then not killing him, then killing him, then saving his sick daughter, apologizing, then crying, then whatever the fuck else happened. In a movie, the story, acting, and directing can make up for lack of special effects. It doesn't work the other way around. |

spiderman 3 was still good..it just had a lot of thing that could've been better like venom should've been in it more and less of sandman. and there were a lot of corny scenes...such as the dance number...but spiderman 4 will prolly be better because...tobey maguire will most likely not be spiderman..as well as kirsten dunst not being MJ...the villians are supposedly the lizard and carnage who are both cool as hell. ..and my idea for spdierman 6 is to put in...the mofo'ing sinister six...

Does one really go into a superhero/comic book movie looking for the cinematography of the 5th generation chinease directors (like Zhang Yimou and Ang Lee, movies like Hero, House of Flying Daggers to Brokeback [possibly the best American cinematography even though done by a Chinease director]). I am a film critic, I take classes that all we do is pick apart films. There is more to a film than just great acting and directing aswell. New technology changing special effects can make a film good, aswell as lighting, cinematography, the use of colors to the use of symbolism. Spiderman has great, although corney, use of colors and symbolism. You going to see a Captain America movie saying that is was to propaganda? Maybe you should do the research of what the comic is about. In fact, all of spiderman's villans were connected to him, why do you think Kevin Bacon started the six degrees of seperation thing he does? So going into this type of movie and expecting Citizen Kane is just stupid. You go to see comicbook movies for action and american propaganda damn it! (unless it is batman begins, that was too good for its genre) And the last fight was sick, so good, and he did his spidey thing like he always does to win. edit* Wait for the spiderman movies that involve the Galatic Gods like thor and the such.
