The only ones we effect are the gas stations that make about 10k a day. but then its up to them how to make up for there payments they missed on that ONE day, not a big deal. The oil companies wont learn shit and don't care, because all they see is "oh look, the gas stations who pay us are getting screwed out of what they make in a day. thats a shame, thank god we still get paid" Its the same way as Tobacco companies. Yeah, the way Freevibe makes those awesome commercials that completely fuck companies like Camel, and Marlboro's sales, but yet they will still keep selling them and not stop or lower prices, because they know in the long run people(who are addicted = equivalency to someone who uses gas EVERY day as a necessity) need them. fetus's logic is NOT off. its a little skewed, but still right on the money. As for me, im "sticking it" to the gas/oil companies by, putting a diesel engine in my Suzuki Sidekick, so that way I get like 70 MPG, lmao, and im gonna use Biodiesel in it(school project at first) and use Biodiesel as MUCH as I can use it. Obviously im still gonna have to use diesel when I have to, becuase I cant make Biodiesel ALL the time, but it still hurts the companies like WOAH! Dont stop using gas for one day, dont use gas at all. Use alternatives. There are so many out there these days, you have no excuse to not try some. Also, ALL alternatives right now are better for the environment like WOAH, so get off your asses, quit complaining and do something, I did, and im only 16. Plus, get a fucking Hybrid, do you even know how much Oil companies HATE those fucking cars because it hurts their sales so much? And as for plastics, there is no way not to have to use some in this god damn day and age... its actually really really depressing how bad it is for our environment. But the thing is, RECYCLE. most important factor with plastics. Its one thing to not use them, but that means other people will use the plastic you dont buy. So recycle. im done. peace |

Well I can see that I'm just preatching to a bunch of sheep here that are simply willing to accept the fact that oil companies don't need a reason to raise prices, just the fact that it's memorial day is enough. And would rather use their energy to fight someone who is trying to make a difference than ride a bike to work for once. Go back to sleep sheep. Don't question, Don't change, just follow. "Due to a severe downturn in the market on the 15th, market sales plummeted and we have to raise the price to $4.50 a gallon" Way to provide them with yet another excuse : ) Oil companies will charge what ever the fuck they want, and as long as you want to use their oil, you will buy it, one way or another. You buy less, they charge more, they make the same amount. You really wanna make change? Buy as much oil as possible, stockpile it, and force the Oil companies to switch to something new. You know they can. These companies are not retarded, far from it, they know better then anyone how much oil is left and where it is. They are just going to milk it as much as they can. Once oil runs out, boom, they are fucked right? Wrong. Where are you going to buy your Biodeisel/Vegetable based fuel/Hydrogen/w/e big oil companies will simply switch to the next best thing and continue to fuck you over the pump, you think these companies that make BILLIONS are just gonna run headlong into certain bankruptcy? Negative. You think I'm biased and pessimistic? My dad started the first biodiesel plant in Wales, ive been exposed to alot of information, you think a company like Exxon has any problem selling its refineries and buying up all the biodiesel ones? No. Im gonna be a rebel here and go agaisnt the whole, "ZOMG we are running out of oil, stop driving ahhh" and go with 'how bout we shock the market and the oil companies into changing for the better the only way that will work, through their WALLETS."
