I'll start this off by saying I'm sorry to anyone I've offended, talked down to, made fun of, admin abused, accused falsely, or any other poor treatment that I may have dished out to anyone. First I want to talk about the way that I acted as an Operator of Fish Tank Surf. During the beginning of the server, I became an egotistically driven asshole. I used admin as i saw fit and provided an explanation later of the rule broken. I've seen many people who have been the owners of servers who have abused their status, and I fell into the same hole. I'm not sure why I didn't see what I was doing at first, but once kremit started getting complaints and letting me know I wasn't acting properly, I tried to clean myself up. Yet still I acted like an asshole. As BubbleGoose pointed out, I ironically wrote for people to come forth with complaints, and if operators were the problem, talk to a different operator. I followed that up telling people to stop being pussies and tell me what I was doing wrong. I'm not sure what the hell I was thinking, and it was an immature, asshole idea... as well as not making sense in the first place. I give my personal promise to try and stop acting as egotistical, immature, and I'd like to be a more fun person to be around on Surf. Over the past week or two I've had a lot of epiphanies, and I wanted to speak out in the FT forums about a few things that I was wondering about. Racism was the main topic that I had discussed in the forums. I got way out of hand while discussing that topic, and made my goal in that thread to discuss what I felt at the time about racism, mixed with biased facts that I searched for on the web. I see now that my views were insanely idiotic, and I have learned from much that I've been told in the past two weeks. I'd like to thank those who have put a clearer view into my head about racism, and other topics I've discussed with you guys. I know that this apology does not make up for things that I have done. All I can do is try to act like a more mature, more intelligent person. Once again, I truly am sorry about the way I have acted recently, and will whole-heartedly attempt to better myself. That's a great start, nostie. I avoided your social flamebait because, while I felt offended about your opinions, I just didn't think I would get my kicks trying to debate those types of issues with you. Some of your other apologies left much to be desired, but I think you're being honest here and it looks like you dug deep to make a genuine apology. Things will probably blow over soon and some people may even change their signatures in the coming weeks!  However, just as it took you some time to realize you wanted to make amends, you should give others some space to do to the same, myself included.Good luck. |

Thanks for the apology Nostie. I'm very glad that you have seen your flaws and decided to improve them. However, I would like to apologize to you as well. Although it may have seemed like the right thing to do to myself, some of my retaliation was way out of hand as well. So I owe you an apology as well. I hope that we can continue to be friends and I hope that you follow through with your apology. Again, thanks for making one. It was a very mature thing of you to do. |

tht was really mature of you to make this thread, and im glad you did. i was starting to get annoyed because of that racism thread, but intelligent people tend to learn from their mistakes, and use them to help make future decisions. your on the right track nostie | ||
