idk if u guys alrdy thought about this but i was wondering u guys should make a server with alot of custum maps on it and stuff u know. idk if u could but i was just thinking about how much fun custum maps are  and i know u guys just made a dust2 server but i was just throwing the idea out there u know  peace |

well we have a couple ideas in the mix, and we are discussing the best ways to do them. we are trying to have a zombie night, but we are having difficulties with forcing players to download the materials even when zombie mode is disabled and it is a non-zombie map. people who have played zombie maps in the past already have most of the files, but people who do not play zombie maps have a large download they are faced with. so we are exploring ways to work around this. will it ever happen? i dunno. the other idea was 'new map night', where we would spend an evening playing a map designed by a community member or otherwise. maps that get popular enough MAY get put into rotation, but it would probably be only one night a week. we would like to stay as close to 24/7 dust2 as we can because it is a popular map. we welcome new ideas, and any that are possible and well liked enough by the community have a chance! |

Like Jigg said, there are a couple things in the work on the Dust2 server. I also don't know if they'll ever come into play but we're trying. I understand that you along with other members may like custom maps but don't forget that a server costs money each month and the owners have to contribute a ton of time in order to both get it running and keep it running. So, hey that's a good idea to have a server that just runs custom maps but money is always the issue. I do like you thinking outside the box though.

ya i heard ya on the money issue. idk about a zombie think but i have played it before and didnt like it to much cuz i got boed of it with in like 5 mins of playing it hah... but ya i felt like throwing it out there u know. | ||

Customs are fun, but a custom map server is difficult to maintain with players and such. I like the remakes of the Goldeneye maps,,, 007_complex, 007_stack and Facility. The aim_textures maps are fun for GunGame servers. Surf is kinda like custom maps. Would it be time to revisit the idea of bringing back Surf/Kustom? | ||

yeah we used to have FTK (kustom) and it then got turned into our gungame server which got shut down. i would love another custom server |

yep, we had a custom map server, changed to gungame server, then got shut down. we had an assault server which changed into a dust2 (before this dust2 server), then changed back to assault, then got shut down. also, at one point, we had a deathmatch server also. so yeah, we've been through a lot of changes, from 2 servers, to 5 or 4 servers and back to 2 again. i would prefer a WC3 server or zombie mod server. thats just my oppinion though. |

sweet i didnt know u guys had that many different servers in the past.... never heard of a WC3 mod. what is that all about ? im up for anything u know just to have a server that is fun and u can mess around and not really try hard and just have fun in it is what im looking for

WarCraft 3 mod is bassically like the rpg mod, except it uses races from warcraft 3 | ||
