| Funny story someone told me earlier that happened to them | ||

My dad is in the casino business, so during the 70's, 80's and early 90's he was very flamboyant with flashy cars, gold chains, rings, armani suits, etc. When I was about 5-6 my mom, dad, and myself are living in california and we're going to vegas. (It's super bowl time, this plays a part later on). We all get on the plane, and my dad starts freaking out because he forgot his luggage, he left it in the waiting area or something. Only one suitcase. So he tells the flight attendant they have to stop the plane and go back so he can get his bag. She laughs and says "sir, that's impossible." So he demands to see the pilot, tells him the same thing, and the pilot says they cant do that. Now here he is, in a $2k suit, over a grand in chains and rings and such on him, and he tells the pilot he's a CEO for the NFL and organizing the superbowl. "I left a briefcase with vital papers in it, and if you don't turn this plane around so I can retrieve it there will be no superbowl this year. Are you willing to take the blame for that? Are you prepared for a lawsuit filed against you and your airlines? This is going to be national news and you're going to be nationally hated all because you refuse to delay the flight 20 minutes." They turn around, and he goes gets his stuff, gets back on the plane. They ask why we're in Coach, and he says first class was booked. They moved us up to first class, give them both complimentary drinks and food the entire flight with their sincerest apologies, and my dad takes down the name and address of everyone one the whole plane and promises them super bowl tickets. My mom is mid nervous break down and I'm cracking up. 200 something people expected front row superbowl tickets that year and got nothing. What was in the suitcase he forgot? Socks and underwear. You doubt, and I know. Unless the pilot is a dumbass. The CEO of the NFL has prolly 4 private jets, boats, helis, limo-s, buses that can take him to the SB. Who would buy that he uses public transport? It's like saying the president of Mac, stopped a bus in a NY street, becouse he needed to take a shit, or else they can't sell it anymore. | ||
