For simplicity's sake, this is how the actual conversation went, rather than narrating. Me: Hey, what can we do for you? Customer: Yea I'm having a problem with this here laptop I bought my son Me: Ok what's going on with it? Customer: Well my son likes music so I got him this here computer so he can store all his music and make cds, and I bought him this program to melt cds too but it dont work (he flashed a Nero disc) Me: Melt? You mean burn? Customer: Yea make copies. Customer: I installed this disc and followed the directions, but the cd hole dont burn and it says project failed Me: *looks at notebook* Me: Where'd you buy this? Customer: That there pawn shop over on Elmer st. Me: You need a special kind of drive to burn cds. This only reads them. You have a burning program, but no burner. Most new computers come with one, but this is kind of outdated so it only has a standard one. Customer: Naw you're mistaken there the guy at the pawn shop said this was brand new, every thing top of the line. I went to the E LEC TRON ICK store and looked too, this here ain't even on the market. Me: Yea, silly stores, they have a habit of taking things off the shelf when they're four years old. We can install a burner for $60, or you can get a new computer, otherwise you can't burn anything with this, and it's far from new. Customer: You're wrong, it's brand new, and it's top of the line. Me: Then why am I the one behind the desk with the little badge that says tech support? Customer: I'm going somewhere else, where they aren't stupid. dude that person is stupid who buys a computer from a pawn shop.... (hell even if it was really the best compy in the world 9/10 of them have to be stolen) This is why we shouldnt let morons have money you are spoused to steal it using thier own ignorance. |
