The bottom line is this. If you say "nigga please!" "peace my nig's" etc. It dosen't make you a racist. Racism would be if you said "Man, I hate ni**ers". That's why I censored it... If someone tells you, their not comfotable with that word, you're best bet would be to just not use it, to be kind to the person, who has some strong moral stand points. That's all I got to say. yea I personally don't have any problem with what you say, but when it's said online everybody interprets it a different way. Theres really no way of knowing who is not going to care and who is going to be offended. Hence why I'd say it's just safer to not say it at all. But yea thats just my 2 cents! | ||

I think that some people are just over sensitive. Honestly I think that anyone who would actually take offense to it would say so. But its allways the guy who doesnt want to offend anyone that makes a big deal. If anyone should make a deal it should be those who the remarks are directed towards, and it would seem to me that they see them as friendly jests so there is no harm done. So next time someone wants to be a hero and bring somethign like this up why dont you actuiially check with those affected and see whether or not they are offended. |

i under stand were u coming from twitch i live in atlantic city newjersey there is like 10% white people and 10% spanish and 80%black. i however am mixed spanish and black so we use the word nigga or my nigga all the time. but on the internet world some people live in a totally different enviroment and are not used to seeing or hearing the same things we do living in the areas we live, and also dont understand the lingo that some of us use. personally i dont say my nigga too much because i seen people exploit the word and use it in different context. I'm kinda torn over this one, but I know what I'm gonna end with. The server is public. Some people take offense to the use of any variation of the word "nigger." Therefor we should respect the possibilty that someone could be offended by it and refrain from it's use. Yes the server is 18+, yes we all believe in free speech, but I for one, say we should keep our original respectful position of no racism or racial comments on FT servers. |
