We have the servers listed along the right side of the forums. This is awesome. I remember telling Nostie that we should have them across the top which will bring the chat box up further on the page. Unfortunately this cannot be done with picture. I suggest we do something else with this space. It is right at the top and is the first thing everyone sees as soon as they visit the site. My suggestion would be...in BIG font...to welcome visitors and then insist them on making an introduction. We can supply the link to the Clan Introductions forum. Then underneath that, we should let them know that there is a sticky with the how-to/requirements to get into the clan. This should link to the FT Constitution thread. I think this would make it very easy for visitors to quickly make an introduction and quickly show them how to get into the clan. It may spark more interest and drive them to wanna be a part of the community. What do you all think of this idea? Edited Tue Sep 04 2012, 08:30AM |

I think we should do this in the section where Kremit leaves us messages. These forums are impossible to navigate because there's > 9000 forums and specifics and shit. So glitch, I like your idea top and center. My idea would be to eliminate all forums except 1. Schooling Fish 2. Server forums (FTC, Surf, etc) 3. FTCC |

Bandito, i like the forums we have and I dont think we should mess with them. We actually use many of the servers believe it or not. The "Kremit Section" I think should stay honestly. The best place is where we have the servers up top and center. We dont need them there. |

I can test drive it sometime soon. I'm curious, though, who we should show it to. Guests who have not registered yet? I could make it so that only they see it and it gives instructions on registering and then making an intro. I could probably make separate ones for guests (saying register and make an intro) and members (saying to make an intro) but it wouldn't apply to 90+% of members because we're not new. I'll take a look (later) and see what can be done about it. If you want to take a look, check out the "Welcome Message" icon under the admin section. DO NOT DELETE THE CURRENT MESSAGE. I think we got nothing to lose honestly. |

If you are talking about the space directly to the right of the fish and fish tank clan, then yes I think we should use it. That's a pretty good idea in my opinion. Prime piece of open real estate. It'd be nice if we could throw some info for newcomers as well as some links to important sticky threads maybe? | ||
