Now, I’m not saying this is old news, but when I first bought Nintendo’s “new†interactive controller the Soviet Union was still in power. What’s next? Are the video game manufactures going to rehash Nintendo’s 1988 Power Pad ( -[link]- )? Oh, wait, they already did in the form of Dance, Dance Revolution (DDR) -[link]- I guess my point to this rant is that until we, as consumers, demand a better product, we will not get it. The whole Nintendo vs. Sony vs. Microsoft rivalry is a joke. Who the fuck cares? All the systems are shit. So, if you want to shell out hundreds of dollars for slightly better graphics, then go for it. If you want more innovative consoles/games then save your money and hit the companies where it hurts…their wallets. Fuck all three companies. I don’t care if they will send out Jenna Jameson to fuck me as a part of their ad campaign, I still won’t buy their sub-par, rehashed, pathetic consoles. Well, we all know that PS3 is going to be at the bottom of the war because of it's price, it doesn't look to good with games, because it'll take them longer to make them, etc. Xbox360 is looking pretty nice, but I doubt that Xbox360 will matchup to the Wii. (I liked 'Revolution' A LOT better  ) The fact is, the Wii is A LOT cheaper, worst graphics out of the PS3/Xbox360, is gonna have the funnest games. I choose cheap and fun, rather than graphics, idk bout' you guys... (of course) I will always be a PC user, no other console will be better (duh!).

haha the ad was great. But all i know is that wii is gonna be 200-300 cheaper then the other systems and from what iv seen it looks hell of a lot more fun. 360 is gonna be 400 till god knows when and im not blowing 400 on a system with like 5 games on it. Ps3 not gonna even bother with. Gonna have to buy a 360 cause my fucking xbox blew out after 6 years =( but like i was saying i dont care about graphics, i fucking pulled out my ps1 just so i could play a good dam game (castlevania: Symphony of the Night/Metal gear), but my point is people are so fucking involved in Graphics that games SUCK SO MUCH. Games now are so easy. The last game i enjoyed that took me more then 24 hours to beat was Tales of Symphonia on Game cube, and it was great was enver bored of it. Point is the ad makes me want wii more. and i agree with aborted fetus, but if they sent Jenna Jameson to come and screw me i think i would have a different mind about everything

Good Rant! There really is no need for console games nowadays. Its a cash grab. Computer > psXbowii. I think that the purest form of gaming is still the NES. D-pad and A, B buttons... However, the 360 was rushed because they tried to get it out in time for Christmas. That's why Bill Gates is so rich. |

Wow...all I can say is just wow. The ignorance on this thread is amazing. The only person here I agree with is Fetus, because, what it has been for years in colsole gaming, and re-relasing the same idea, just a little better. Now all in all, the system engine of the PS3 is far better then the other two systems. The controller and mario is all nintendo had going for it, now all it has is mario, because PS3 is having the same style of control. The xbox 360, and the xbox are by far the stupidest consoles I've ever seen. How retarded does a computer company have to be to put that much power without a good cooling system? Wow, Halo 2 is gonna rock, and it's graphics are so good. So what? Are you going to buy a console for one game? This is the same with the Wii. If you want a system that has good, fun, violent and smart games, the PS3 is the way to go. Their games will outdo both of the other systems combined (minus zelda and mario). Also, for the post somewhere herre saying the good games for playstaion will take a while like 2 did? Sony made a release saying they are not gonig to hide the secrets of the console this time around, they realized it was a mistake. Ans for the final part of this thread, is I'm not gonig to buy a shitbox 360 because they are too stupid, I'm not gonig to buy a system that sounds like what I do in the bathroom, and has kiddie games. I'm going to buy a system that the company is smart enough to actually make a profit, and is not in debt from 1994 (N64?). | ||

All I'm saying is that as consumers we need to demand better products, and not be fooled by rehashed ideas. It's not a PS3 v. XBox v. Nintendo v. PC issue. The issue is with the turds that major companies release and expect us to buy. It seems that most companies care more about making a great looking cut scene to use for advertising than they do about the actual game play. Would we rather still be playing Pong but with slightly better graphics and neato, time consuming cut-scenes? Hell no! Make the market conform to your ideas of what you want. Don't want something simply because the market tells you that you should want it.
